I had a similar thought, namely that it is the last opportunity to bring many people to believe in Christ so that with the rapture as much people as possible are saved prior to the 7 years under the Anti-Christ. Your mentioned scripture is a great addition to that.
Possibly, Scripture speaks of the delay of the Messiah's return to allow the called to come to repentance: 2 Peter 2:9 (NASB 95) The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
If our believe in god is true, no matter what happens we will have the over hand against all evil. If we see birth,life,and death as part of gods plan and that time don't exist it don't matter if we day of old age or tomorrow.
And that is they key isn't it? When people have accepted god, not as a force of a ruler but as companion, a guide and window to our universe we will have won this battle. It can't be won with words and steel ..But with believe and love. If we never break our believe in god and show that we don't care about what the DS might due to us if we are not compliant,the lost souls trapped in the mental chains of the deep state will notice this and in time switch. Because their main strife is their fear of death and lack of morals since they are not in connection with themselves at all, in other words god. That is what a NPC is, a soul disconnected from god.
Yes, we have to stop focus on what DS will do against us but what we can do for ourselves in regards of freeing us from their control. For the first time in my life, I actually have felt the Holy Spirit. I have had a few different epiphanies over the last few months. One, is nothing in this physical world matters. Another, is that to live is to suffer as Jesus did. Embrace it. Also, Embrace truth. The enemy is real, and we have to have faith that God wins.

Christianity 101, Men have free will and they do as they wish, some do good some do evil.
God does not sin.
If God controlled all of our actions we would not have free will, and how do you love someone if you do not provide him with free will?
So God is not in control, then.
Not controlling everyone's will does not mean that you can't control them or what you are not in control.
In the end of the day people die and their souls have to go somewhere and he decides where. So he is in control.

I used to be like you. Wrapped in a warm blanket of my own zealotry. Comforted from the plight of the real world.

The answer to your question goes back to the beginning and the root of this religion.
The basis is simple, God created humans by his image while he also gave them free will.
Free will is simple, its like free speech. You have the right to do whatever you want, however depending on the action there may consequences.
God knows obviously that if X kills Y, tortures him eats him call it whatever is bad and Y never had a chance too its even more bad. However life on earth according to God is not forever, the body is just a flesh the spirit will live forever.
All those innocent who die because of bad people have probably their ticket to Heaven ready already.
The classic phrase works here, if you love something let it go.
What would be the point if God restricted your every move? How would that show love and free will, especially in a life in which there is pain and struggle? What is your point, you want God to autopunish like a bot with a script bad actions? This life is like a test, a game if you will.
However this does not mean we, humans, should let everything on autopilot and be done with it. The ones who do nothing sin as much as the ones who sin themselves. If we can help we should one way or another.
