Having lived in SE Asia for a few years and returning to the USA late last year, I can confidently tell you that the deaths caused by slamming on the economic brakes has killed more people than COVID-19 has even with the inflated numbers left in.
While many Americans enjoyed a huge increase in EBT and Unemployment benifits, along with the stimulus money, most citizens of poor countries got little aid.
The amount of aid and the percentage of people being excluded, ensured many people have literaly starved to death. In poor countries they have fewer animals of any sort in populated areas because they were already consumed years or even decades ago.
Over 7 years of visiting then 3 years of living in the Philippines I saw no one fishing from the shore of any lake, nor river, nor ocean. The pump boats never have a big haul.
Same thing with hunting. Anything besides feral dogs and cats are hard to find. Here in the USA there are still animals that survive in large numbers because being hit by a car is less devastating on the population than hungry bellies.
I was arguing with a lib who was crying about bolsonaro (brazil) staying open - third world countries can't actually lock down without people starving
Truth be known, that is what is killing the majority in India - hunger. The rest of dying from the kill shots.
Nutritional deficiencies for those who can get food:
Why Is There A Major Zinc Deficiency In India and Pakistan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h93KKivvIPM
We have high calorie malnutrition in the USA. People everywhere are feeling the effects of bad nutrition or no food at all. Very heartbreaking.
So true. Most of the world, even developed countries, are in a malnourished state. Unfortunately, even if a person is eating a good organic diet, they are most likely still deficient in key nutrients that protect us against the environmental assaults. When these malnourished bodies are then really challenged, like starvation, they are dropping like flies. Those here in the US are not in much better shape - they just have more fat stores that can be utilized for energy should they food supply be cut off. Sad indeed.
Exactly.
I know a liberal in Brazil...she hates Bolsanaro, as expected. And yet the country is oddly okay despite the lack of lockdowns. They did not vanish and all die off as liberals claimed they would.
Notice libs always have money when they decide things that keep others from having any.
Haha—this is true in many levels. You want to know why housing is so expensive in blue states? Rich Libs can afford all the regulations that impose hardship and increase costs on everyone else.. It allows a separation of the masses. They are totally ok with you living in a tent along the freeway, strung out on drugs so long as you are not able to dig a well and build a house on your own property. They will make sure you can never do that. Rich winery people are the worst.
My firm has a lot of these people as customers - the hobby wineries can be particularly loathsome but a lot of them come from tech, private equity, VC, etc. They definitely have an inflated sense of self. Friend of mine at work one day just exploded 'God, I hate our customers!' I knew exactly what she meant.
They’re a scourge on this earth
Oh wow, I was JUST listening to a lecture about this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC_hJywMUQ8 - 31:12 timestamp for the part that is relevant to your comment.
The NWO uses every method that they can get away with to reduce the population. the Plandemic, ecouraging any kind of sex except sex that can create babies etc...
We sponsor a child in the Philippines and his father is a fisherman with 8 kids. Their life was hard before covid shutdowns, but it is unimaginably hard now for them. We help what we can but the sponsorship agency only allows us to send so much. I do know that what we send all goes towards food. Heartbreaking.
and I read postings here and there about how wonderful being an expat in the Phillipines is.......of course it is....they don't live in the impoverished areas which is the majority....
How can a person do that? I would like to help.
We sponsor him through Compassion International - https://www.compassion.com/sponsor_a_child/how-child-sponsorship-helps.htm. We started when he was 4 and he is 10 now.
Indeed! Thanks for helping that family!
wow
Spot on! Last year in South africa the gov tried to regulate the supply of food by charities. Ended up with kids eating leaves to stay alive. Charities told the gov to go to hell. Lots of people were arrested for giving food to the poor.
In the Philippines its against the law to give anything to the street orphans. Its also against the law to be alone with children you aren't related to. Unfortunatly Pedophiles from the west or well off countries prey on the poor children all over the world.
Thailand was the Pedo place to go, but the Thai government and Western governments have slowly started cracking down. the Pedo problem online has soared since the lockdown. There are people using their own children, relatives, and neighbors for online. Its F ing sick.
listened to a podcast about the huge inflation coming, fewer goods to buy, fewer foods to buy and the elites will see to it that we don't have any meat....wildgame is plentiful NOW but it won't be as people go looking for sources of protein....
his advice was to grow gardens, hunt, fish when you can, find a job that you can do to support yourself and others and fill a need eg...a lumber mill, welding shop, clothes making, etc....we will need to depend on US....
When that shit hits the fan here, look out. Most people have no more than a couple of days supplies on hand - especially in the cities. As far as hunting and fishing - that will be made illegal - hunting the King's game sort of thing. In the end, it will not do much good. Hungry people will decimate wild game regardless of whether they run the risk of getting caught or not. As far as gardens, unless you plan on posting a 24hour guard, it will be stolen. I have already had that happen and we were not living under those hellish conditions.
What worries me is people from the cities banning together in gangs that spread outside of the cities to find food. How can one or two people protect their home against marauding gangs of people. Let's just pray they don't have the gas to get very far.
All I know, is it is going to get a whole lot uglier before it gets better. Buckle up - this nightmare is coming to a city and town near you.
2A regarding marauders.
Agreed
Reads like an episode from The Walking Dead.
People watch way too much TV.
It's fear porn.
Yes, one more way to cull the herd.
Yikes. I think you might be right but I sure hope it doesn't get this bad before it gets better. Seems like this could sneak up on us rather quick.
When it hits, and I am not saying it will, it will catch people off guard. Those that have not prepared will have no time or ability to do anything about it.
The problem is that the majority of those born here in the US, and the rest of the developed Western World, do not remember a real time of crisis. Only those from other places and the very old remember the struggles and how far people are willing to go when their survival depends upon it. We have grown fat, complacent, and lazy here. With the exception of the Great Depression, we have never really been challenged in the last 150 years or so. And when you look at the course of human history, whether by design or occurring organically, man has always been challenged and those challenges can be ugly. Times of peace and prosperity are time sensitive and sporadic - and I am afraid we may be at the end of ours.
My mother's family escaped Russia before the Communists took over and the place was ravaged by two world wars, the Revolution, and the Communist regime. Mainland Europe was also destroyed less than a century ago. Because these horrors have been kept from our shores does not mean that we are immune to them. We have had the divine protection of God - but that protection is waning. This nation needs to heap the heavenly warnings and repent. But since I do not see that occurring, this nation will suffer the wrath for its injustices. It is unfortunate that we always seem to be forced to our knees in order to see the error of our ways. God bless you and stay safe.
Learn to forage. Every part of the pine tree is edible. Dandelion's are a super food. Plantain taste like shit but it is everywhee.
Hey, it is amazing how some foods we would never touch before start to taste really good when you're hungry enough.
I keep trying to tell our 9 year old this too.
Keep telling them - it will sink in.
I have faith it will.
It doesn't sound like you've read Q too much... I don't think civil war is the plan
As far as Q is concerned... trust the plan... which is whatever the reader decides. The plan has never been explicitly stated - the perfect plausible deniability. Until there are dramatic changes that steer this ship in another direction, I must prepare for what may be coming. To not prepare is to be stupid. We know the storm is coming by learning to read the signs around us. Even the animals know how to read those signs. I pray I am wrong and I will gladly accept the criticism of hearing I told you so. But until that day comes, I must prepare for the worst. There is an old Arabic proverb that states, Trust in God - but tie up your camel.
Already did where I live. Summer of love and all that.
I have family that are moving out of the Seattle area. A couple of old hippies that have had enough. Go figure.
We're right behind them. I hope a multi generational immigrant tribe buys our home ?
Good comment OldSoul, after being abroad I can certainly see what you say about how fast the wildlife can dissapear.
The UN straight up told us that something like 10,000 extra kids were starving to death every month due to the lockdowns. I told this to countless people when debating about how unjustified and harmful the lockdowns are and not one person really cared. Makes me sick. I NEVER post on Facebook but just couldn't resist pointing out to a liberal friend that the lockdowns are actually a true example of what they love to call "white privilege". Pure ignorance and selfishness from these people living in their little bubble.
I'd say the UN is vastly underestimating the extra 10,000 deaths of children if anything. As for white privledge, thats a joke. Its more like wealth privledge and theres plenty of that in the USA of all colors. At 14 I worked picking tobacco and at 15 I picked oranges and worked in a foliage nursery. Didn't feel white privledged at those times.
Wealth privilege. That's absolutely true
especially the old people....so overly concerned about their little lives some of them could care less about the young families struggling along......said from the beginning, if you're vulnerable, stay home....your choice...but no....they had to dismantle the entire country.
Just read an article the other day of Christians in those countries being denied aid and food ?
ALL those whining about how crappy that America is (the left, not us obviously) have no freakin IDEA how good they have it here!!! Although I don’t focus on it, that fact alone pisses me off bad how stupid our society can be.
-fellow world traveller
I live in the Philippines. Fisherman out raping the reefs of the once 'best island in the world' every day!! Now they telling business owners "Get the vaccine or we don't renew your business operating permit once tourism returns" Fuck 'em! If they wanna get woke with coke, they can choke whilst we grow our own and smoke :)
Its the big boats with miles of nets that are the main problem.... A huge fleet of Chinese fishing boats were out around the Galapagos Islands a few seasons ago, haven't checked on any new cases.
Fish and game management probably has a lot to do with it too. 3rd world countries aren’t as organized or well-funded to allow for programs that ensure sustainable fishing and hunting.
The rivers and lakes have no fish and no one fishes them because they were dynamited long ago in the Philippines. The pump boat fishermen come back with a meager catch most days thats why they are among the poorest people. The big fishing boats have and are scooping up what fish they can with HUGE nets.
As for hunting, there are not very many hunting guns there. Military, Police, Security, Thugs, have guns, the common man not so much...
Rice runs just under a dollar a kilo and is the main food source. Fish I'd estimate at about half US prices, but wages are low. There are also many people living in the family home who depend on the often 1 wage earner. Imagine feeding yourself, the wife, three kids, and the parents, when you make 5 dollars a day....
You are describing scenes from the novel 'Stand on Zanzibar', where the ecological disasters happen because of mismanagement...
My point exactly
My wife is from the Philippines. Thank god the dollar goes a long way there! Her father goes months without pay, then only gets partial money. And he has a good government job! They were on full lockdown for months. Only one person allowed out to grocery shop then straight back home. As bad as it is here, it's not bad!
Exactly! Wages are low even in a good job, compared to the West. When I was a teen there were cash jobs that often pay below minimum wage, those are dried up in the USA. However there are still many people working below the legal minimum wage in the Philippines.
Minimum wage runs from around 6 bucks a day in most provinces to around 11 bucks a day in the NCR (Capital) Region. However... In Dumaguete at the mall and a few other spots the real security guards earn double the minimum, but represent only a few percentage points of the security. The vast majority are working below minimum because their licenses are fake. The security agencies help people get the fake... so they can underpay. Minimum in Dumaguete is around 360 Peso a day, Typical fake guard gets 250 a day. I use security guards as an example because its a field with many workers. Everywhere you go there are guards. Even fast foods like Mcdonalds...
Don't worry, 95% of our covid relief went overseas
They’ll print more.
Just so you all know, the more rural you are the safer you are. Worldwide. Here in the US...you know that already.
Think about it. I'm suburban and I'm pretty much okay in CA. I'm in touch with someone in rural Phillipines and he and his family are okay. Not sure where OP is reporting from.
As for the idea that "here in the USA there are still animals"..come on now. That's totally HORSESHIT. Do you live in a place where you must protect your garden from deer? Then you know otherwise. This is nonsense. Stop listening to fear mongers.
I'm glad you brought up deer, because hunting deer is a needed thing to thin them out, but also plenty of other animals are doing ok. I ride bicycle a LOT and see lots of road kill, but I also see lots of wildlife even in the Urban area where I'm living near downtown Orlando. Squirrels, possums, armadillos, raccoons, and snakes of all sorts are doing quite well. Lots of birds crapping on cars and even Gofer Turtles have made a comeback. If I go for a 50 mile bicycle ride I'll see plenty of road kill. I had one day saw 3 roadkill Gofer Turtles and refer to that as a three turtle day.
There are a lot less people eating wildlife in the US than there used to be. As a kid I knew people who would eat all the above named animals. Now we eat store bought meat and are not predatory on the small animals around us. I lived 1 year in a rural setting in Mindanao then 2 years in Dumaguete. In Mindanao they have tree rats, a lizard that I miss-spell as Toco that eats bugs like roaches and feral cats and dogs, Thats it for wildlife, Birds and even snakes are a rare sight and its the jungle, In Dumaguete In a few thousand miles of cycling I saw road kill animals a handful of times, and those were snakes and rats.
https://results.usaid.gov/results/country/philippines?fiscalYear=2019
We gave $101 million to the Philippines in 2019 alone...and 2018 ($110 millon)...and 2017 ($133 million)...2016 ($152 million)...2015 ($180 million)...2014 ($159 million)
Thats a big problem, we throw money at everything. The problem is that the population is 110 million, so the amount given means nothing to the people in the street. Then theres the corruption. Over all those donations you listed buys about 2 weeks worth of rice.
The charities give a heck of a lot more. During the big earthquake in Bohol several billion poured in and disappeared. Donated goods often sat around and rotted.
Big Business, Big Government, and Big Charity are all a bad thing. Better to help on a personal level....
While in the Philippines I made mistakes, but I also learned how to help in a beneficial way. For most poor people a 24 dollar 25 Kilo sack of rice is a lot more helpful than handing the family 100 dollars in cash. The people love rice and will eat it. 25 Kilos is rice for a month for a small family. 100 Bucks and they will buy things they want and a much smaller ammount of rice.
And the politicians and crooked relief workers got the bulk of that ,money.
Same as Africa..all the billionaire daughters of presidents.
The poor...they suffer as always.
Thank you, Fren, for bringing this point up. I too have visited the Philippines almost every year until the lockdowns - even worse than here in the US.
These stupid, virtue signaling liberals only think of themselves, are so myopic and only know of and believe what the EneMedia tell them.
They never consider the impact of these draconian but unnecessary lockdowns have on those who cannot work or feed their families.. Even in the US the impact has been devastating on the lower income earners and the small business owners. Much more so without handouts as in most other countries.
Last March I was so pissed abt the ripple effect that would so obviously occur. Here, we file BK and go to the foodbank while most of America is living on borrowed $. In other countries, there are no food banks. And as you said, few animals to hunt.
World wide depopulation is already in place
I could get behind you if it was cabal members vs rabid dogs, but people vs animals is not a direction I am willing to go lumped in groups.
I’m with you ..it’s terrible I know but my heart breaks more for the animals
They ain't immortal.
“However, you may slaughter and eat meat within any of your towns, as much as you desire, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you.” Deuteronomy 12:15
I’m a bible believing Christian and I have no problem with hunting or people eating meat ..my comment was about dick heads abusing animals ..I think I misread the comments meaning that I commented on .
I agree. Animal abusers are barely one notch above child abusers.
Thank you .. i think some people thought my comment was against hunting , I don’t protest people who hunt to eat. But Harming animals causes a rage in me and those who do should be executed , however I misread the comment and posted a thought that did not line up to the original post and got downvoted big time , no big deal , but my view on animals stands and was placed in my heart by God. I will always protect the innocent ..animals, children and even adults if they are being harmed. Love your name... Nixon correct? What state do u live in , nice to meet an animal lover and advocate!
IIRC the comment all are responding to here was in relation to, 'it being good that the people were dying instead of animals' (or they preferred people ide instead of animals).
I agree with you on animal abuse must be removed from society. Though conservation & hunting (sounds like you are on board there) should be something that we never reject.
Ultimately we should never allow abuse in any form. My children are taught some life was given so that they could eat the meat on their plate & they are to never waste a single bite. I hope that sticks with them.
What a great parent you are and yes I’m sure it will stay with them . A strong foundation is what you gave them . I am an animal lover and believe those who abuse animals should be put away or worse ! Er sick people do this ! As far as hunting I would never hunt myself, but , I am a Patriot and don’t have a problem with people hunting to eat! Conservation is also important !
"As much as you desire".. until you've eaten the sparrows and the squirrels and are down to the bugs and slugs. After which...
“...according to the blessing of the LORD...” to me implies that we must kill and eat responsibly, not to completely obliterate the LORD’s blessing. We are intended to have dominion over all living things, not just for eating, but also for preservation through management.
We need to act more like the Indigenous peoples...waste not, want not.
By implementing regenerative agriculture practices and eating nose-to-tail.
And respecting nature.
