Fuck you devil.
We are created in the image of God and are all the children of God. Abortion is murder.
Ugh. You again.
It was never a "faith-based everyone is the same" religion. You fell for the strawman. All men were created equal means everyone is worth the same, not that they are the same intellect/strength/etc.
I don't believe in any religion; he's right and people who think like you are a plague on the Earth. The only difference is I don't desire your death for it.
Absolutely NOT ok. That is killing a human being.
It's a step in the right direction BUT lemme tell you why this legislation is TRASH.....
These heartbeat bills rely on the abortion office (Like Planned Parenthood) to do an honest and professional ultrasound. The abortion clinic hires their own ultrasound tech who also sets up and operates the ultrasound machine. This person can CHOOSE to find a heartbeat or CHOOSE to not find a heartbeat by changing settings and where they aim the ultrasound wand.
If a professional baby killer and the people that work for them and think it's okay are financially incentivized to NOT find a heartbeat what do you think is going to happen?
You can't trust Planned Parenthood to do this. You'd need an independent agency or hospital that's not financially motivated to NOT find a heartbeat but that's not in this bill.
Making progress step by step.
This is the way.
Rape or incest = it's not the little child's fault that its father committed a crime. Murdering the child is not justice for the father's crimes.
Mother's life is endangered = self-defense is a human right. Sorry little child, you attached to my fallopian tube, and that will 100% kill me. I have the right to defend myself against dying. Until we can transplant you to my uterus safely, aborting you is the only way that I will survive.
Thank you for doing what you can. Soon they will hopefully be illegal completely
I'll believe it when I see it. Abbott has been a disappointment to us for the last year.
Praise God.
Never forget that abbot is a cuck rino supreme.
It is murder and should be treated as such.
When abortions should be considered:
Life of the mother
Product of incest
Product of rape
When abortions should not be considered:
Literally any other time. Use protection or the myriad of medications to prevent it from happening if you don't want it.
Abortion covers up child rape and protects sex offenders... think about that
Difference is 5 year old has philosophical existence. A name, a voice, 5 years of memories and proofs of existence. It's like comparing killing a cow for meat and killing someone's dog. Sure, a vegan libtard would say it's the same, but the cow is just meat whereas that dog is someone's loyal companion.
As for rape, you punish the rapist, and save the mother from that trauma. Obviously if a woman doesn't even think to abort the product of a rape, good on her. However, not everyone is the same, and it's not fair for someone who was raped to face an 18 hear responsibility over it.
The answer for that mother would be not killing the child, if 5 years later that child is a trigger of grief and trauma, adopting the child out to a loving family, not the foster system, would be the best choice.
The questions are only hard if you absolutely believe fetus is a full human. We're the only species to police reproduction. We have myriads of religious texts from multiple religions and very few actually condemn abortion explicitly.
The product of a rape being the absolute will of God? I don't buy it. Lots of this strikes me as very privileged people speaking from self righteousness.
I understand both sides and feel like I could argue both sides. If we say the existence of a heartbeat is what determines a life, then at what point does the heart start beating? It's always beating, the beat is just too minor for machines to detect it. Almost right at conceptions there is a vibration in the cells that will later turn into a heart. With that said though, I have a rather unpopular opinion for this board. I just don't view an embryo to be the equivalent of a human. It has a lot of potential, but we know that miscarriages happen weeks after conception because the body has decided that the embryo is not capable of life (chromosomes, etc.)
Pregnancy is extremely difficult on the womans body and I believe a woman should be given a window of time to rectify an undesirable situation. We know from countries, like Georgia, where abortion was made illegal and it resulted in many children ending up in children's homes or growing up with mother's who don't want them. This led to crime rates skyrocketing two decades later. Sure, in a perfect world, anyone who does not wish to have a child can give the child to someone who does, but what happens when there are more children than families who want them?
I understand very much that this is an unpopular opinion and I'm not looking for any nasty debate, but you seemed genuinely curious for others opinions. To me, a child being born to a mother who does not want it is much more heartbreaking (for the mother and child) than abortion in the very beginning of pregnancy because I view it as only cells with potential for life, much like sperm and eggs are cells with potential for life.
I'm certainly not saying that abortion should be used as a form of birth control, absolutely not. But I think that it's better for everyone if a woman has an out early on. Give her the ultrasound and chastise her for not being more careful, but give her an out.
I come to this point of view based on the following scenario. Imagine a husband and wife where the husband purposely keeps getting the wife pregnant because he wants to have as many babies as possible. Obviously this is an abusive relationship all around with many control issues. Yes, ideally the woman should leave him, but she is just too afraid or can't for many reasons. If she was strong enough to leave, she wouldn't have gotten herself into this mess. She knows that having any more children will throw them into poverty. Her way of dealing with the situation is to have early term abortions. Is it ideal? Absolutely not. The wife is certainly not happy about this solution but at least she has an out and she won't be subjecting her family to poverty, she won't be subjecting any additional children to growing up with this man as a father, who will in turn carry on in the same way in society. At least she can focus on her two children and do the best that she can with them. As crazy as this sounds, this is an actual true situation and I'm very greatful this woman had an out.
I absolutely understand your view as well. Do you believe a body can have two souls? That particular aspect to me can be confusing because I would say it can't and that a soul maybe planned to join a body from birth, I don't believe it can until the baby is actually born because then there will be two souls inside the mother's body. What is your take on this?
That is a very good point. I wasn't brought up with the bible, so I apologize if I don't get the reference correctly, but I would argue that the soul exists before conception, conception doesn't create a new soul. Therefore, David encountering his baby's soul in heaven would make sense even if the baby was to die before birth without it necessarily meaning that the soul had joined the baby's body.
This discussion has made me think that if we lived as a society in a better way (for example if premarital sex was highly discouraged) then our need for things like abortions would no longer exist. I think making abortion illegal would cause a lot of problems for our society given it's current state (as in the Georgia example), but if we changed our society at the core to really influence more traditional values, then I think the need for abortions would be greatly minimized.

Greg Abbot is expected to sign into law a bill that bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected, which can occur as early as six weeks into a pregnancy.
Texas Senate Bill 8, also known as the Texas Heartbeat Act or “heartbeat bill” was passed in the state Senate 18-12 on Thursday, and awaits Abbott’s signature. The Republican governor has indicated that he will sign the bill on the same day.
“The Texas Legislature PASSES the heartbeat bill,” Abbot wrote on Twitter. “It’s now on its way to my desk for signing.”
State Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr., one of two Democrats who voted in support of the bill, told The Dallas Morning News: “I hope that we can continue to do our best to make sure that those soon to be born babies have an opportunity to be born and live in our world.”
The Texas legislation differs from the other states’ heartbeat law in that the state of Texas is forbidden from enforcing the ban on abortion. Instead, private citizens—except for the individual who impregnated the woman through rape or incest—may file lawsuits against doctors, clinics, and anyone who “knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise, if the abortion is performed or induced in violation of this chapter, regardless of whether the person knew or should have known that the abortion would be performed or induced in violation of this chapter.”
The bill does not include an exception for rape or incest besides in cases where the woman’s life is endangered.

“The Texas Heartbeat Act is novel in approach, allowing for citizens to hold abortionists accountable through private lawsuits,” pro-life group Texas Right to Life said in a statement, adding that the bill did not “punish women who obtain abortions.”

The one billion dollar organization continued to operate as an “essential” business during the pandemic offering abortion and other services.
“We want to make one thing clear: Planned Parenthood will continue to fight for the RIGHT to abortion access, no matter what,” the organization said in a tweet.

“Texas lawmakers have passed extreme legislation that would ban abortion as early as 6 weeks,” the group said. “But let’s be clear: this dangerous bill is unconstitutional, abortion in Texas is still legal, and we will keep fighting.”
There has been misinformation spread from some opponents of the bill, including the ACLU, which said that the bill allowed anyone to sue.
“This bill is so extreme it would allow anyone in the country—wherever they are—to bring a lawsuit in Texas for violating the law. This means a rapist who impregnates a teenager seeking an abortion in Texas, could sue the doctor who performs it,” the organization said in a statement.
The bill states the opposite of what opponents claim, “notwithstanding any other law, a civil action under this section may not be brought by a person who impregnated the abortion patient through an act of rape, sexual assault, incest, or any other act prohibited by Sections 22.011, 22.021, or 25.02, Penal Code.”
The bill will take effect on Sept. 1 if signed into law.
States Tightening Abortion Restrictions According to the pro-choice research and policy organization Guttmacher Institute, 61 abortion restrictions have passed in 13 states since Jan. 1. Within four days between April 26-29, about 28 abortion restrictions were signed into law in seven states, accounting for 46 percent of all legislation passed this year.
In Montana, three bills were signed by Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte on April 26 banning abortion beginning at 20 weeks, requiring the abortion provider to inform patients of the opportunity to view an ultrasound and hear a fetal heartbeat of the unborn child before potentially having an abortion, and regulating how abortion-inducing drugs are administered.

Kevin Stitt, a Republican, also signed three bills into law that go into effect on Nov. 1. The bills signed into law on April 27 prohibits an abortion if a fetal heartbeat is detected except when the woman’s life is in danger, requiring abortions to be performed only by a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, and suspending a doctor’s license for at least one year if they perform abortions in violation under certain circumstances.
On April 29, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb signed House Bill 177 that requires abortion providers to inform patients that they may discontinue the abortion-inducing drug after they had taken the first of the two pills procedure. The law goes into effect in July.
In Idaho, Gov. Brad Little, also a Republican, signed House Bill 366 (pdf) into law on April 27, banning abortion after the fetal heartbeat is detected, except in the case of a medical emergency or the pregnancy resulted from rape or incest.
Also on April 27, Republican Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona signed Senate Bill 1457 (pdf) that bans abortions of an unborn child with a genetic abnormality, prohibits mail delivery of the abortion-inducing drug, and prohibits state funds to go toward organizations that provide abortion “unless an abortion is necessary to save the life of the woman having the abortion.”
At the beginning of April, Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon, a Republican, signed the Born Alive Infant-Means of Care (SF34) bill that ensures any baby born alive following a failed abortion receives similar care as any other infant born alive. The law takes effect on July 1.
