I'm from Vancouver - Beautiful, temperate, west coast weather. I've been contemplating moving to a red state or a red province (Alberta) for a long time but man, why do all the places with great governance have such shit climate?! And why do all the places with great climate have such shit governance?
Seriously.
Florida - De Santis! Fuck yea. Alligators, tropical storms and tornados? Fuck no.
Texas - Great people! Great state! But that terrible summer weather makes my ballz itch before even sweating.
Alberta Canada - Cheap gas. Cheap guns. Conservative governance (somewhat). But freezing winter, scalding summers, and the random snowstorm in July.
God, you have a funny sense of humour!
Florida is good, just dont swim in undeveloped lakes and you'll avoid the gators lol.... tornados are rare.... hurricanes are always massively overhyped by the fake news and usually just result in a fun time with some tree/shingle damage.
Come join the state of desantis, trump and flynn!
The gators aren't that bad, you get used to them, and the gulf coast doesn't typically have a hard time with the hurricanes either. I will say the mosquitoes are like angry, rabid, bloodsucking chihuahuas though.
And the no see ums will drive a sane person close to the edge lol.
Probably because "salt of the earth" type people can make it easier in a non hospitable climate? Just a guess.
Look at Seattle, Chicago, Cleveland, Rochester, Minnesota. Those are just some areas off the top of my head.
I'll totally toast to FL and Texas though!
Seattle-area weather is fantastic; mild, essentially zero bugs, almost no humidity, a little gray during the winter, but beautiful falls, wonderful spring, and summers are perfect.
Our government, however, is grotesque.
This contradicts what my local friend tells me, and those murder hornets were a thing weren't they?
Either way, if you enjoy it, fuck what someone online has to say about it.
Someone certainly tried to make them a thing.
And then we never heard of the “murder hornets” again.
Tennessee might be a decent middle-ground.
Agreed unless you suffer hay fever. And chances are good you don't know 'til your here for a spring or two. (East TN)
You forgot California. I grew up in the Golden State. People pay the big multi million beaucoup $$$ to live along the shore there for a reason. Luscious year round farmers markets. etc.
And in the hands of leftist loonies.
Amen.
Sadly so true.
North Texas isn't bad. I couldn't live in Houston its way too humid
Pede! Live in Alberta in the summer, and Texas in the winter. Problem solved.
Most winter storms do more damage that tropical storms/depressions. Direct hits by Cat 3 or higher hurricanes are very rare.
This is not true. I used to live in Upstate NY. Winter storms are not that bad when your county and state has the equipment to take care of it. Don't wanna drive in it>? Just stay home. No other damage usually.
But a hurricane has many many features. Lots of wind AND lots of water. If you live by a river........ massive flooding can occur .. I know I got flooded out by one here in NC.
Not true ...look at CA.
Because liberal dipshits don't produce anything, they are parasites. They move to a place with nice weather/scenery/amenities in place and take it over for themselves. They ruin the places with high taxes, regulations, reduction in penalties for criminals, legalization of drugs, welfare for homeless, etc. and then move out when it becomes an expensive sh*thole and mess up the next place.
I feel you. I'm in UK and we have shit weather and even shittier government. Proper depressing ?
