They thought they could arrest Trump and others on treason charges and implement martial law. Instead, they had to rule as if things were normal. Their house of cards is collapsing. I hope. They wanted to make Jan 6th look like an insurrection. Except nobody was armed. They didn't give the national guard Trump wanted. They told the capitol police to stand down and had less assigned there than normal. On purpose. The only violent types were antifa/blm types who smashed windows and tried to rile up the crowd. Dressed as maga. I saw video of them changing clothes. Then they let the regular people into the Capitol. I saw the police removing barricades. And the electronic door locks were opened by security as well. They wanted it to look like they swarmed and overtook security. bs. Pelosi's staffer murdered Babbit and now they have people who walked into the Capitol building unhindered in solitary confinement 23 hours a day with no trial.
Not forgetting President Trump was close to 1 hour late, just to screw with their plans! He was still talking when I saw the stream cut to a group, all had grey beanies or baseball caps on, pretending to attack a handful of police who were equally as shit at acting!

Very clearly they were banking on something big happening, and it would seem that Trump holding the rally exactly when and where he did neutralized whatever plans they did have. At least enough for any free thinkers to recognize the scam they are trying. (Ashli Babbitt, is a separate issue where I believe questions of her actual death are valid)
