Well done!
Congrats! Was it solely porn or masturbation entirely?
I'm on 23 days hard mode now. The real benefits are really starting to take effect now. I'm never going back.
i like porn sometimes but mostly when i jerk it i try to think about my wife cumming so hard on me ... which she is great at so no big deal. but i like to use mh imagination to think of her with the fake boobs she wants and in some sexy lingerie - is that bad? to me jerking jt about your wife is ok even if you jazz it up a bit. then when we do it i get extra turned on. gotta think about your wife and make sure shes at her hottest! nothing wrong with that imho
So how does one lead you to the other?
Seems like a natural progression, no? Porn is addictive and fuels degenerate behaviors of all kinds.
When you have an addictive personality anything that gives you that dopamine hit becomes addictive. It could literally be anything. Porn, drugs, alcohol, smoking, shopping even good things like weight lifting and exercise.
Its was orange juice for me.
I wouldn't count the weight lifting or exercise parts even though they do release dopamine. It isn't released in the same way as the other more destructive habits, and also exercise releases serotonin.
This is a good point. Just seemed like two random ass things with no overlap to go from one causing the other.
Easy. Lights your reward centers in the brain up like Christmas lights. Sends you in a spiral of seeking more forms of short term gratification. Lowers willpower and ability to value longer reward cycles. Shit is very destructive on many levels.
Odd to blame porn for causing other behaviors that are more physically addictive, to be sure.
If you stop fapping to porn, you don't have crushing withdrawals that hit your body hard like drugs, nicotine or alcohol.
This is such a narrow way to look at it. Activities like porn actually alter neurological pathways in the brain. This makes it easier to succumb to other vices. Nobody is comparing the levels of withdrawals. Said person could have gotten over their drug addiction and already gone through the withdrawal period, but then things like porn can function as a trigger that sends them spiraling back to the drug usage. It doesn't have to be the root cause to increase the chances somebody relapses.
It's a silly view to say that porn somehow is the cause of someone's other addictions, when those other addictions are harder to kick with deeper effects when you try, and more physically addictive.
Ultimately, porn or drugs, it comes down to personal impulse control and if you give into your impulses at every corner (such as watching porn when ever the mood strikes) then that's a problem deeper than just porn.
True, but because replaces a biological imperative it is in someways more devious, harder to hit "rock bottom" or see the effect it might be having.
I'm sure it does have an effect; as your dopamine levels return to normal you may feel a little down or depressed.
But when you quit the other vices, you will be suffering from headaches, sweats, shivering or overheating, a very upset stomach, dizziness, etc. and when you fall off the wagon you will find that you don't have these effects on the substances so the path of least resistance is just to continue with the vice.
For porn, it's fairly easy to make the choice or fill your time with other hobbies or fill your time with social interaction that doesn't leave you enough time or energy to be alone long enough to do the deed to porn. For the other stuff, it's much harder. Bonus is that you will falsely remember how good it felt to do them which makes it hard to stay sober.
Yeah you do.
No. Your body doesn't get the cold sweats, you don't have nightmares or black out, you won't suddenly die because you drank so much alcohol that when you dropped your body couldn't handle it.
Your mood may be down, but that can be filled with other sources of dopamine. You can't replace the withdrawals of other addictions.
Porn contributes to ruined and spiceless marriages and it is the man’s responsibility to worship his wife as a sex goddess. Porn causes men to become disinterested and wives to go astray or to become unhappy. That is my experience and I have learned this lesson and changed my behavior. OP speaks the truth.
Ruined my sister's marriage, progressed to cheating. Guy isn't a bad dude at all. It is literally demonic and purposefully very easy to get to online.
Censoring vaccine and election fraud, but letting one of the most destructive forces just float around? You can see the direct correlation of those in power and what they stand for. They want to destroy men and marriages, not to mention ladies who are addicted to porn as well.
What happens when a wife isn't interested in sex with her husband?
