I saw pictures of the flooding. People were standing in the trains with water up to their necks. It was horrible.
I saw that and was thinking why don't just get out.. then I saw the water was higher outside the train car. It was packed with people.. I can't imagine how any of the could've escaped.

I know what the news says the totals were. I also know they were hanging onto those subway straps. There was no place to go, they were istanding in a subway train which would make them higher up. If they stepped out of the train the water would have been higher than their heads.
They looked confused and frightened and waiting for help. I hope they survived. It was shocking and made me realize how bad the situation is.
Presuming the video was transmitted out, which is a big presumption, then there was signal enough to do it, which means they're not as buried as all that.

I'm not seeing any source in the article and I'm not even seeing a number 6,300 or any estimations.
I have no doubt thousands have died but the tunnels are still underwater and that's not gonna get resolved BEFORE the flooding still at ground level obviously so gonna have to call false on the specificity of the claim.
