Wow, I am so happy to see this. I live in SC and was just having a discussion with my "awake" 10 yr old son about maybe homeschooling this yr if they went crazy again.
Other than people on here, he is the most awake of anyone I know. He doesn't know everything but he sees through the BS so clearly.
I’m also waiting for word from Abbot in Texas about any masks for the 2021-2022 school year. We pulled our son out last year as soon as they started mandating masks and homeschooled him with our 3 other children. If it’s ‘normal’ we will let him go back but take him back out the second anyone mentions masks or vaccines.

The time for government mask mandates is over—now is the time for personal responsibility.
In May, I signed an executive order prohibiting mask mandates by gov't entities.
Every Texan has the right to choose whether they will wear a mask or have their children wear masks.
Our son is in the "GT" (gifted and talented) program and is shielded from many of the issues that scare us but the wife and I have talked about it. It would take some serious adjustments on our part.
Last year his teacher was "awake". That was a blessing

Damn right we are. There’s a reason why people talk shit about the South because we DO stick to our guns. We don’t want the South to become the Soyth. Any upstate frens that reads this, holler at me on here. We need to develop a more local network to keep in touch and coordinate when shit goes down, because you know it’s coming. No violent rhetoric, just cooperation and networking. We need to be able to be self reliant locally within our towns, counties and state as a whole.
Truly I would love to have . wins dedicated to different states.
Would be nice to meet other people in my area who suffer through the same things.

Good, some common sense for a change. If they try and make the covid kill shot mandatory this coming school season, my high school son is dropping out. He can return the next year to much smaller classes because of the vax deaths.
The feds probably threatened to cut their funding if they don't do it. Or maybe the S.C. General Assembly members are already half brain dead from hypoxia via masks.

Remember self-segregating in High School? Cliques. Normal human behavior. Imagine nowadays? Vaxxed on one side of cafeteria, non-vaxxed maybe not even wanting to be around the vaxxed. And vice versa. Those poor children will never understand normalcy. Are we at that precipice yet!
Every state should be doing the same. I know the blue states probably won't, but we should put up resistance whenever/wherever we can. Don't listen to the "mask RECOMMENDATIONS" by the CDC if you are in a state that won't stand up for your rights.

Keeping the masks off at least. The rest of the reopening plans for covid in our district are ridiculous, I am still homeschooling this year to avoid the nonsense. Not to mention the bullshit SEL the state is forcing on the first 20 days of instruction.
And that is the way it should be, recommend if you like, but it's my choice to participate in you game.
