I’ve watched a few videos, read numerous posts, and am pretty convinced we’ll face a shortage. I’ve been stocking up.
How likely out of 10 (with 10 being the most likely) do you think a shortage will ensue?
And then why? Martial law, Deep State manipulation, lock downs?
How prepared are you? And finally, is there anyone here that hasn’t been prepping and if not why?!
You said "How likely out of 10 (with 10 being the most likely) do you think a shortage will ensue?"
Eleven
There are already massive supply chain issues being caused by a few things.
The effects of covid shut downs finally being realized (generally) plus specific shortages like circuit board chips that can cause an entire Just In Time stocking system to fail.
Major port throttling, the area around the Port of Los Angeles looks like a float storage for container ships. I have heard "covid" is being used as a reason the loading/unloading is so slow but I believe that's a cover for intensive security scanning. That is causing major issues for imported goods and components (think "made in the USA with international parts")
There was a huge spending boom between the country opening up and all the stimulus money which is causing it's own issues. Then, if shut downs occur, all that production ramp up will leave companies flat on their faces once things shut down again.
For food, you have farmers being incentivized not to grow crops AND in CA you have the water management assholes letting out all of our stored water to create an artificial water shortage which primarily affects farmers.
Then, for reasons I'm unsure of, there are shipping issues in some sectors as well. It seems like a mix of the industry being over-burdened coupled with labor shortages at warehousing locations, speculation though. Nonetheless, the effect is real.
So it's 10/10 because it's happening already sector by sector, but the ultimate goal (of the black hats) is to cause food shortages and lead to massive panic and unrest. The night gets darkest before the dawn and I don't think we're there yet.
I've a very not so funny story to tell about prepping. I live with my very intelligent, but very liberal, well-degreed son. We don't discuss politics. We just moved to a new home. I just discovered that both the emergency radio and emergency drinking straws are missing. His answer: "We got those years ago and you haven't even used them." SMDH.
My goods are pretty short already.
At least you’re honest
Every business owner I've spoken to recently has commented on supply chain issues. This includes a jeweller, two country clothing stores, and pet shop and a diy store.
Some old guy who you wouldn't loom at twice mentioned the Ever Given to me today, complegely out of the blue - it was surreal.
I drive tractor trailers of bulk food goods. There are many issues in the supply chain. Prices have soared too. Since November chicken went from $35 / case to $96 / case as an example. Some weeks it’s oil, then chicken wings, then onion rings. It’s random what goes short, but things seem to catch back up, for now
If people take the bait we will see some panic buying. Probably saw one of the videos you did. Guy who looks like a fed, claiming he has high level military contacts who said they were told to be prepared. Then our buddy Posobeic says stock up. We saw the same things in December.
Yes be prepared. We should be stocked up already and just rotating stock. But panic buying just makes a crisis seem more real. So far, after three weeks of people pushing panic buying it doesn’t seem to be happening. Thinking most people have enough to last a few weeks from the last round of this talk.
I try to have the wife buy at least one nonperishable ever grocery trip.
The biggest shortage im seeing is in my bank account...
I do this as well. Each time I go grocery shopping I grab a couple things. Works pretty well. Even if it’s only a bag of rice or couple cans of baked beans. It adds up!
And it lets others prep as well. Instead of instant hord mode. If only others has the same mindset besides the few that do.
There's already shortage showing in my area stores, several shelves are empty and if not empty they look like remnants of black friday.
If the U.S. Military has to step in... then shortages of goods will be a 10 out of 10 possibility.
The first thing they will do to keep order is to issue temporary stay-at-home orders for non-essential workers. (no productivity, no manufacturing). Then, they will issue severe travel restrictions for anything deemed non-essential. (limited trucking). Then, there is the extra red-tape to get through in order to move products to market in such a system (slows everything down by 30%).
What does this all equal? Shortages.
Well, the 3 Gorges Dam is right at critical level and a major storm is soon to roll in, from what I read this morning. If that dam goes, so does a good portion of China. My guess is, you won't be seeing a lot of goods coming from there if this happens.
Credit will dry up quickly when the brunt of this hits. Have some cash on hand, metal of all kinds, batteries, items to barter with... like batteries, and of course the extra food, water or a filter, and OTC meds and Rx. Whether it's real or contrived, the DS plan includes supply interruptions. You should have enough on hand to be able to survive in your home for at least 2-4 weeks. 2-4 months might be the preferable goal.
I let the frogs take over my pool this year. I'm having frog legs. It's going to be biblical!
Start downloading Chinese food recipes.
Chinese people know how to cook and eat anything.
I’ve eaten Chinese frog, it’s not bad.

Both DS manipulation and lockdowns.
I'm always prepared!
9/10. Our Walmart is already low 🙎🏼♀️ They used to get trucks all the time and now every time I go it’s bare!
Canadian border guards voted to strike as of tomorrow morning @ 6am if they don't get at least a talk about their contracts. NOT good.
Make sure to get plenty (24 Packs) of fresh bottled water to have ready when needed and popcorn... Better to be prepared now.
Going to this one pet store tomorrow to stock up on dog food!
Popcorn… had to LOL because that is real! Thanks for that one!
I have some jugs of water set aside for emergency, in addition to high quality water filters that can be applied to food grade buckets and to use in a pinch.
You need 1-3 gallons of water per person per day. Get propane and stock up on it. Solar for charging devices. Stock with dry goods.
Right now in my area things are normal. I’m in Texas near Fort Worth but we’re on the brink of collapse and I have no idea what’s keeping this shit glued together.
??? I’m in the same area, what are you seeing that I’m not?
Oh nice! I’m near granbury in a rural part. The Walmart’s and Brookshire’s have had plenty of stock of everything. HEB and Kroger as well. I hit them once a week for groceries and spend about 20% more to get extra cans/dry goods.
If you're paying attention you should have already noticed shortages, and they will get worse, yes.
It is a fact in evidence now, and the certainty IS it will increase.
Jet fuel is getting scarce, the airlines are grounding flights because of it.
Meats, chicken and pork and steak is getting scarcer, prices going way up.
All goods and commodities are already becoming scarcer, it is Reality. Our double damned corrupt government is running towards mass genocide events, and total communism with elites and slaves.
We are prepared, you can never prepare enough but we do what we can. Foods and water filtration devices, some crops planted, supplies gathered (I just stocked more food today) , plans made to extract Family from the city if we need to, ammo on hand.
The main preparation is Spiritual tho, many many of us all will simply not survive.

You have to think in terms of scenarios, first. Don't rush to a final tally or decision duest. For instance:
EMP: damage? Scope? Duration?
Cyber attack: same, etc
