My local supermarket chain - Giant Eagle - was a huge mask tyrant for most of the past year - they had signs on the door saying that all guests were "required" to wear masks. Now, the idiots are back at it, but there is a big difference - it says that all guests are "requested" to wear masks. I can't wait until the first snowflake asks me to put on a mask so that I can response "Request Denied!".

I just got back from Wegmans grocery, a huge privately owned chain of huge grocery stores. They have signs up saying they 'strongly suggest wearing a mask'.
Ha ha ha I think only about 10 percent of the customers were wearing masks.
You know the type. Fearfully looking around, not wanting anybody to get too close to them.
Everybody else was just being normal.
I like getting into close proximity with them, even if completely unnecessary.
They slide over/move in fear, I bring it in even closer.
Fugg your safe space
More here in TN than I expected.
In Tennessee it depends on where you are. Urban areas still have lots of masks because most of the idiots and collectivists live there. In the smaller towns the masked are in the minority.
The Kroger employees where I live have stopped wearing them. That's huge. Walgreens is still run by fools who broadcast CDC guidelines from a year ago.
I have done that as well.....shame on us...LOL
Lol, I do this as well.
Might throw in a few coofs in their general direction for good measure... 😉
Went there today - saw the sign walked in anyway. We were the majority! Ohio may be waking up
Home Depot had a "required" statement...vaccinated or not; and in the 10 minutes it took me to not find what I came for, I only saw a handful w/them on. Not playing this game.
I was in Giant Eagle yesterday…most people were ignoring it
A lot of stores are pulling this shit and making it sound like it's mandatory. A mask is deemed LEGALLY a medical device and they can't make you wear one. The mask ship has sailed and time to fight back!
Tell'em you have acute CS. If they ask what that is you can use the HIPAA argument or just tell'em the truth. You have acute Common Sense Syndrome... 😁
I've been taking it upon myself to rip every sign I see down and throwing it away. If anyone questions me and asks what I'm doing I simply say I'm cleaning up some trash that I found.
Went to the 4 Corners monument in AZ this week. They had a large electronic sign at the toll gate that stated masks were "required" on the grounds. Wife & I along with 90% of the people there did not comply. The family in front of use in line had them on until the wife engage them in conversation and said "our state (PA) is open...we aren't wearing them". Even the blue-haired SJW behind us in line didn't wear them.....Fug-em
I dont care if they say its mandentory, im not weraing one. If I get pushback ill inform them that the mask is an FDA regulated medical device that is harmful given my medical condition, than they are violating the law by asking telling me I have to wear it. I am more than happy to swear a criminal complaint if they prefer, their move.
I told them I can't wear a mask as it violates a condition of my parole.
Yeah, I've noticed the very few places putting signs up now only "request" or "recommend" now.
It's funny cuz at Walmart I don't see ANY new signs about customers had to mask up, but the one greeter was hassling customers about wearing a mask again.
Not one place that has "mask required" signs on the door has asked me to put on a mask. Thankfully, I'm starting to see a few more people maskless in my community but it's only about 5% out of 100.
Husband went to Hime Depot. They had people at the door and told him he needed to wear a mask and handed it to him. He took it and put it in his pocket and walked in. I would have left
We went to Menards and dollar General today, both had the sign on the door, no one but wage slaves had masks and half of those had them at the neck. I think the people, at least here, are not playing along this time
Ohio here. Was at my giant eagle a few hours ago. Had they sign up saying guests required to wear a mask. Did not see a sign saying it was optional. Nonetheless i walked past the poor $8/ hr mask nazi maskless fully expecting them to say something. They did not. Turns out in my estimate 60-70% of the shoppers were also maskless. A huge win. Only employees were wearing them because they are now being forced after having been allowed to not wear them if vaxxed. Now all employees must wear them again. The biggest mistake the cabal made was giving everyone mask freedom for a few months. Now over half the population will not go back. And i believe that number is growing.
My Kohls had new signs saying we "strongly encourage you to wear a mask." 20% were wearing, but that number is growing weekly. I will not be taking their suggestion.
In Las Vegas, the following companies did NOT require masks even though it was posted on the front door. My Gym Smith's food king CVS Home Depot Chicken Shack I take a mask with me, in my pocket, but I only put it on if the manager asks me to. Total Wine did that. Make them force you to put it on.
We have Giant Eagle in Ohio, will have to check local store tomorrow. Last go around, and your are correct, they had literal guards at the door making sure you had a mask on.
Just say you have a medical condition and you can't wear a mask... 😆
Last weekend I went to a sams club they ask if I wanted a mask I said no thanks and kept walking.
BJ’s has been one the worst, and I am in FL.
“Do you need a mask ?” “Sure Don’t.” <and don’t break pace>
Half hour later after almost being done shopping some store manager tracks me down to remind me that I need a mask. I asked her two questions immediately, ignoring her request. Then I followed her around the store for the next five minutes trying to find something. She never mentioned it again.
Here in Korea it's a lost cause, these people were born to mask up. I've seen infants in 99 degree heat with masks on, everyone has masks on. I go to the traditional markets with no mask walk outside and nobody cares, you get the occasional dirty look for grannie... I had a dude a food stall to tell me to put a mask on, I just sorta laughed.
Every other indoor place requires it and will not let you in.
I really appreciate everyone telling their store stories, with percentage masked, etc. I’m in Ventura California, and we “reopened” later than most. I’m thankfully not in Los Angeles where they seem to have decided to try to up the rules again. My friend living there says it’s still about the same, half masked. In my smaller town, I’m now seeing maybe 40% masked, and no change last week.
Reading how it is in other places helps me get a sense of the trend... and hope. i don’t believe people are going to go back to crazy masking after being freed up for a while. But then, I’m an optimist.
I’m done with masks, never wore them except where I needed to get something from a store, and even then, I stopped long before everyone else did, and rarely got a hassle. I realized I was actually giving other people permission by being mask free. I only now notice masks when I see them on children. Sad.
Go get 'em, fren!!
I prefer to quote Captain Barbossa: "I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Means 'no.'"
Fun fact.
Definition of required : stipulated as necessary to be done, made, or provided
Stipulated means agreed to beforehand.
When someone tells you something is required, ask them to show you where you agreed to it beforehand.
