They rescue dogs who have "outlived their usefulness" from laboratories that would otherwise be put down. Beagles are one of the most commonly used dogs in laboratories because of their good temperament and uniformity of the breed.
They have a YouTube channel featuring their rescues, showing things like a beagle's first time outside of a cage. It's heartbreaking.
I actually met one of these rescues (I work at a boarding facility), and I could just see the trauma that little guy went through for 3 years. He was an awesome dog, but I don’t think he’ll ever fully trust humans again, but who knows 🤷🏼♂️.
