I have spent thousands of hours since 2009 reading FAA reports, reading black box transcripts, listening to black box recordings, looking at a flight data recorder (FDR) data, watching videos, listening to depositions, talking to pilots... etc in order to find out why planes crash.
Colgan Air 3407 was not crashed by the government. It absolutely 100% wasn't. I know it seems like a crazy series of events that are related, but I can assure you that they're not in this case.
The real tragedy here is that Captain Renslow should have never been in any airplane, much less that airplane on that night. He was a failure of a pilot and should have had his flight status revoked years before the accident. In addition, his first officer, Captain Shaw, was very sick and her illness was distracting her from her flight duties.
Also, they both ignored multiple, and I mean multiple, FAA safety recommendations such as having non-flight related discussions below 10,000 feet to not turning on the de-icing equipment even though they were flying through icing conditions.
When the icing occurred on the leading edges of the flight surfaces, the plane entered an aerodynamic stall. The worst part about this stall is that Captain Renslow had failed to recover a plane from exactly this scenario in flight simulators on several occasions and was still allowed to, not only keep his flight status, but to remain a captain. In addition to this, FO Shaw also reacted incorrectly and retracted the flaps which made the aircraft even more aerodynamically unstable.
I work in a very unique position, have a high security clearance level and access to data that most people cannot see. I've heard the audio on the black box recording that has never been released to the public. It's not something you want to hear. It's horrifying and entirely consistent with an accident.
It's an unfortunate event that Beverly Eckert was on that particular flight, but I can assure you with 100% confidence after studying this aircraft incident for hundreds of hours that it's not a conspiracy.

I came at this from a different angle than a lot of people. I didn't know who was on the flight, and I never looked at the passenger manifest for a couple of years. I'm simply a passionate amateur airplane accident investigator who spends several hours a month on the subject as a hobby.
I read the reports, studied the data, read the transcripts and managed to listen to the audio of the CVR and I know without a shadow of a doubt what happened to that flight.
Look, I fully understand the skepticism of people coming at this from the other direction. They know that 9/11 was a false flag attack, then they hear about a lady who has turned down government payoffs and has been pushing for a truth commission... and then she dies the day after she meets with Obama.
If that isn't conspiracy level stuff, then I don't know what is. If I had come at it from that direction, then I'd believe it too. It's very difficult to sort through the noise and look into literally every death and conspiracy available.
All I'm asking is that people be willing to look at both sides of an argument and then please choose the side with the preponderance of evidence... and I'm telling you that the preponderance of evidence in this case is for an accidental crash.
