As I understand HIPPA the patient can release Info for their personal health conditions but not the Dr. Or Insurance company. That is why we have to sign so many things when seeking medical help. If He or his family want to release a statement it isn't a problem. That is where it gets tricky. Laws included to "protect public health"...

I survived it 2 yrs ago. 3 days in ICU, 5 more days in care multiple drip iv. Another 2 weeks after, home in bed with catheter .
