not educated. indoctrinated. with obama's changes to student lending, there was a HUGE influx of people getting bachelors and masters in useless libart degrees. prior to then, it was very difficult to get a useless degree without mommy and daddy paying for it because lenders wouldn't pay for a subprime degree. they know those kids will never pay that back, and the default rate is 30%+ while the rest struggle to pay it with their shitty barista jobs.
Ancient hieroglyphics? Masters of multiple languages? Those are deserving of high praise and status. Linguists are very important and it's hard to get there, as every language has its bad habits and similarities (as well as dissimilarities) that make it a high skill life.
Reading a book? Well, some of us are better than others but I wouldn't expect a basic skill to be deserving of high praise, unless you are a speed reader -- though not really a skill that's very easy to teach and most people seem to have it innately.
I'm in the trades, blue collar workers normally have to be independent thinkers and adaptable because you not only need to know your own trade but you have to be able to pull other trades out of your ass when shit hits the fan. When someones wall falls in from rotten framing you're now a framer.
PhDs and other high skill jobs like Pilots, ATC, etc. are normally great customers, want to learn what you're doing and why you're doing it out of genuine curiosity and respect.
Bachelors and Masters are almost always shitty customers. They think they're smarter than you (I did 3 years in college and learnt multiple trades) and that means they get to tell you what to do and how to do it and then fall back on the customer is always right when they dont get their own way. It's a fucking delight when my boss says "just do whatever, just make sure to write WARRANTY VOID over their copy of the contract".
Teachers. I fucking hate. The only ones I've liked working for are retired.
PhD's are awarded for demonstrating a capability to perform research - critical thinking necessary to push back the frontiers of knowledge and add understanding and clarity to the work of those who came before them. Masters are awarded as a participation trophy for those who don't cut it in their PhD program, or for fields which are relatively static.
You can get a PhD and be a dogmatic yes-man. And you can be a critical thinker in a field where a masters are as high as it really goes. But it surprises no one that those who think and question are the ones who look at the data and say 'no', while the ones who only ever learned to regurgitate the answers their professors wanted to hear, didn't even need to see the data before deciding to say 'yes'.
And if you're sister marrying hill folk, you've met enough of those retard test studiers to know where their decision making leads that you can spot an argument made by one from a mile away and you know not to trust it. You don't need to be smart enough to make a good argument yourself, only smart enough to spot a dumb argument. And that's not hard.
A place that is already locked down tighter than any prison on earth?!?!?!?
Actually, it's not. There are buildings that are very secure but the actual sight decreased their security about 10 years ago. I've been there about 10 times over the past 20 years. The first few times I was there, you needed to be on a list and pre-cleared through security - in other words, you had to have a reason to be there and pass a background check and a badge was required to be worn at all times. The next few times I went, they stopped you at the gate and asked the reason for your visit but you did not need pre-approval or wear a badge. The last time I was there was late in 2019 and the security guard was at the gate but just waved me right through - no security sticker on my car and no reason to be going there other than using their road as a short-cut to get from Cuba to Pojoaque.
Several of the employees are specialists with high security clearance, performing functions from national defense to infrastructure improvements and research on COVID-19.
NASA is also going to lose many Senior Scientists and Engineers over the mandate. My team is loosing over half of the staff.
Let’s see Artemis launch get pushed back because they don’t have the scientists and engineers they need to do the launch; and preparing for the next set of Artemis flights
More to the point: What is Los Alamos going to do, but twiddle its thumbs while its brains walk out the door? Where do you find replacement staff to design nuclear weapons? Is this a chapter out of Atlas Shrugged?
My son in law who works for Livermore Labs up here in the shit stain we call the Bay Area Northern CA. just received notice that he has until Nov 4th I believe to get the death jab or he's gone. I work in the same shit stain area as a chief pilot for a large developer and amongst my circle of pilot friends, I am the ONLY one who's against the death jab! Whoever said pilots were logical, intelligent and had relatively high IQ's was sadly mistaken. When it comes to common sense most pilots are severely lacking...at least in corporate aviation. I kid you not...of all the corporate pilots I know, I can only think of ONE other pilot who hasn't got the death jab! Apparently there's a difference in the mentality between airline pilots and corporate pilots? The other thing I wanted to mention is that all the severely demeaning, literally anti-human rhetoric coming from the fk joe biden administration is having its intended effect. I was with three other pilots on a trip Saturday...and these guys were my friends...I've know them for years. They were very standoffish and distant. I could tell they didn't want to be around me at all. I was very weird, almost like I had done something to piss them off. The only thing I can think of that would cause them to act that way is they are all buying into the despicable language from fk joe biden on the whore media. Is anyone else experiencing the cold shoulder?
They’re only “smart” in the traditional sense.
They're educated.
Let's not beat around the bush.
You can be educated and dumb and you can be uneducated and intelligent.
An education is just what you learned and retained from schooling, and that schooling -- as we all see -- is very flawed.
not educated. indoctrinated. with obama's changes to student lending, there was a HUGE influx of people getting bachelors and masters in useless libart degrees. prior to then, it was very difficult to get a useless degree without mommy and daddy paying for it because lenders wouldn't pay for a subprime degree. they know those kids will never pay that back, and the default rate is 30%+ while the rest struggle to pay it with their shitty barista jobs.
PhDs for reading ...I kid you not...I was amazed when I realised. They are mostly left brain people with no common sense
Depends on what "reading" entails.

I'd just say they're "degreed". That's it. Most of them got out of it what they put into it. Nothing smart or educated about it.
There's a big difference between being intelligent and having wisdom.

You know you are in good company; when you are making the same conclusions with the data you have; as PhDs are making with their information.
What’s the difference between a Conspiracy Theorist and the truth?
About 6 months to a year
Ok, now thats just the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
Firing people from Los Alamos. A place that is already locked down tighter than any prison on earth?!?!?!?
Creating an accident looking for a place to happen.

Well,I guess its died.down then. LOL

Dont you just hate it when scientists dont follow "science" ? kek
You cannot even make this shit up anymore. I'm glad people are making a stand.
Fine. Now where do those nuclear engineers and scientists find work?
Lots of places are hiring. 😊

China has entered the chat
Remember the mandate is being pushed by the company managing the labs and they (Battelle) are managing multiple labs for the D.O.E.

Shutting down the United States at all levels, can't just punish the middle class.
Let's go Brandon
The Chinese run that place too. Remember Clinton's had spies steal our secrets from there.
Ah, yes. Even the people who are working from home. But, you know, sCiEnCe.
Maybe we can hire them and educate them into meme making and general internet autist we need more soldiers.
We could also have them work on a biological commie detector.
Is this another Battelle managed lab for D.O. E?
