They are still requiring the vaxx or an approved exemption, which may necessitate ongoing testing. They simply extended the deadline for employees and are not going to put employees on leave on the due date they previously set for showing proof of Vaxx or having an exemption approved. Not a win. Hold the line.
You could say they won a minor battle, but not yet the war. Southwest must be buying time to avert immediate disaster, but it won't help them in the long run. Pilots who are willing to lose their jobs over this are not just suddenly going to tow the line later. They are looking to see if this will placate them or not.
This "order" is not only unconstitutional; it also has less actual authority than the paper that I use to wipe my butt (the other difference is that the butt-wipe performs an important funtion).
I’m not getting that they scrapped the mandate. It says “ a plan to put unvaccinated workers with pending exemptions on unpaid leave after the Dec. 8 deadline.” Nothing about if you don’t get vaccinated you won’t get fired. What if you don’t get an approved exemption or just don’t take the vaccine?
Good point made. So, those who reside in Texas should technically not be fired because of Abbotts EO. And SWA is based in TX, but knowing them, they’ll still try to fire. I can’t wait to see how this United and SWA case unfolds in Dallas
My company actually said that if you live in a state where the mandate is illegal it doesn’t matter because Federal Law prevails over State Law. It doesn’t and it’s not a law 🤦🏻♀️
My employer is based in Texas yet they're still pushing this shit. I wonder for how much longer though as our policy is if you're unjabbed you can't go on business trips but they're suddenly asking me to go anyway so we'll see if they're desperate enough to start waiving that policy because even if I did take the poison it'd still be minimum two weeks before I'd be allowed to go anywhere anyway.
They likely can't afford to not having you do whatever function requires you to take business trips. They were probably hoping that you and other employees would run out and get the shot just to avoid pissing off your bosses.
New hires are still required to have the jab -- meaning that soon as SW Air has enough new employees to replace the exempt, the un-vaxxed will be shown the door
My girlfriend has almost 30 years as FA she will give them the middle finger - fight her battle legally and kiss their ass goodbye same with one at AA ..PS neither senior FA require their passengers to mask and never have - :) 🙌
On October 12th OSHA sent a vax rule to WH for review. How long will this last if OSHA implements mandatory vax/tests? With a $14,000 per incident charge? In the next day or two we will know what the WH decision will be… then what?
I wonder what changed their mind? Was it the weather?
Kidding aside, delays are wins here. ADE is starting to become undeniable. The more vaccinated people get sick, the greater the resistance to the vaccine mandates. This is why the globalists are pushing so hard. They know time is not on their side.

basically they are buying themselves time to keep things going and prepare for the strike action.
Third bulletized headline:

Exactly. WHY can't people see this???? Sheeple.
Yes. Make the Constitution matter.

And still requiring new applicants to be jabbed.

Ackbar...IT’S A TRAP

Assuming I ever fly commercial again, I am never flying that shitty airline.

"We're dropping the mandates!"
1 week later...
"We'll stop making your life a living hell at work if you get the pokey pokey!"
Until Biden is force-fed his imaginary EO, I'm not holding my breath.
That's not what the article said, at all.
Why is this even stickied?
It’s stickied because it’s an example which shows that civil disobedience and standing your ground works

Shit title and you should feel bad
Nope, employees not taking the jab will not be fired but will be placed on unpaid leave.

Now If people would defend their right to breathe freely we would be in a better place
