Pretty sure anything that gets loaded onto a sub is a secret. It's one of the hardest jobs to get in the service and recruiters will suck off your entire extended family if you test high enough to get you to sign (that offer is usually only for immediate family if you test in the normie range). One of the reasons smartereveryday getting access to make YT content on them was pretty surprising.
They are equipped with every THING they need, but food runs out and fresh food runs out faster. Whats weird, if it was food, is that they did the exchange here and not, say, a BSP at a port closer to an op area. Another option is picking up or dropping off people. Riders for an evaluated exercise, VIPs. Since it was two of them, probably wasnt someone sick. My guess is they were doing a Torp-ex.

So the burning question is what would be unloaded from this style of (light?) truck to fast-attack subs and be done with unusual secrecy and rapidity... no shore leave.
Doesnt sound like munitions (torpedos, missiles) since anything with explosives probably would merit a lot of additional security around the unloading, and specialized vehicles to transport the things safely. Mines? Amphibious troop insertion type rigs?
Could simply be something as mundane as provisions, medical supplies, all the things that need a refurb after extended time at sea. But with a time constraint thats very atypical.

I supported SSN 23 as a DoD contractor for its first 15 years of life, and before that, its predecessor SSN 687 ("Projects Boats") . I can never discuss anything of substance about it due to NDAs when I left, but a quick browser search will show you everything you need to know about why they dont like to talk about it.
