When I get into it with my dad, this is how I defuse the fuck out of him. I listen to his responses to things and say " now, THAT sounds like a conspiracy theory" Just any excuse / reason to justify the narrative, just makes me sick someone who I thought was extremely smart is actually a bag of hammers.

The “dimensions” thing is weird too as people have postulated that aliens and such have come from another dimension. There might be comms in here. I try not to buy into that stuff, but surely something is very weird. How could so many people participate in a global and evil cabal? Is human nature really capable of being that dark or is there more to it? I know I’m reaching, but please excuse my tangent. I’m an atheist and not prone to believing things without proof, but my mind can entertain possibilities without believing in them.

Actually when I speak with one of my Boomer parents, this person says some things that scare me. Things that don't sound right from a normal American perspective. This parent is not taking the vaccine, and has known not to to take since long before the pandemic started. Refers to their many trips across the country as 'work', yet refuses to detail if they are still working in spite of their wealth.

Why would the farmer shower them with gifts of food and medicine and build pens to protect them from predators if the farmers didn't love them? You'd have to be crazy to think the farmer would go through all of that trouble to eat them!

You can shut them down with 2 questions:
do you believe no conspiracies at all exist anywhere? So you believe there have happened conspiracies before, then
do you have specific evidence or data that disproves this conspiracy? So you have no reason to believe this is false other than that it is data about a conspiracy
