The only other possibility is that they were hoping for a "guilty verdict" to appease the mob, then allow for Kyle Rittenhouse to appeal that verdict based on withholding of evidence by the prosecution.
One advantage for liberals in a mistrial is that Kyle isn't found innocent of the charges. He would have shaky grounds to file $Millions in defamation lawsuits against the main stream media (who slandered him).
How sad if it is them. They see the evidence and feel this invisible pressure bearing down on them. I pray they will be ok and that God would grant them wisdom. Perhaps they will be spared by the prosecution lying to them and the video scandal and the judge will declare a mistrial or whatever is appropriate.

There is no such thing as an innocent verdict. It is only not guilty or guilty.
"Technicalities" are more likely to enrage the mob than a not guilty verdict.
