Trump is building his own Cloud infrastructure outside Bezos Cloud (Amazon Web Services). This is great news.

That's good news. I wish that we could just utilize the provision in eo13818 to forfeit AWS and buy it up in a government asset auction.
While I'd like that, the most American and truest capitalistic answer is not to take the private assets, but build better competition and drive them out of business. I wonder if TMTG will simplify the cloud stuff even further while abiding by American Principals. If they do that they could spell the death for the tech titans, also I hope they buy a search engine and create their own Browser
I mean I mean that’s nice in theory and might have been possible at some point in the past, but hasn’t been possible for a LONG time to “build better & beat them.”
Mega-corporations like AMZN, MSFT + others have way too much money; too many resources; and too many ways to totally kill competition.
Whether by flat out buying out the competition, passing laws to kill them, buying teams of lawyers to defeat them in court, I really don’t think that’s feasible to “beat them” today.
I hope Trump absolutely buries them and if this is true what he’s building, I’ll migrate everything to his service & away from MSFT / AMZN / Google / etc…
yeah im currently maintaining one application in AWS and am in the process of building and deploying my own application there as well... theres just not a good alternative currently for people like me who wear all the hats in one company and are also running another, and therefore dont have time to setup an in house solution
But if TMTG comes up with a viable alternative, even if its 10-15% more expensive I would definitely swap and say it's worth it just for the privacy standards and American values
Exactly and agree!!
I would absolutely pay more for a company that is not pure evil like silicon valley has all become!
I agree with you to some degree. Amazon, Microsoft, and Google are all massive monopolies. According to our economic rules (that arent enforced because our politicians are bought and paid for by Corporations, Bankers, and Hedgefunds), they should be forcefully broken up. Hell, they should've never been allowed to grow this large.
We have monopoly and antitrust laws for these kinds of companies. We actually have laws on the books that deal with so many modern issues. We just have an enforcement problem.
Bingo.
Its the other way around.
Taxpayer money was used to create facebook, google and every other CIA controlled corporate entity.
If we try to go against them, they have the unfair advantage of billions upon billions of dollars of mockingbird money paid for by you and other taxpayers.
They did not originate in a capitalist environment and they are rightly owned by the American people, because we provided their funding.
I said the same thing basically and then just read your comment. Great minds.
I thought the fact that the SeeEyeAye built AWS was a well known fact, surprised this wasn't the first comment.
That's pretty anti-capitalist isn't it? I mean, isn't that pretty much what socialists want to do?
And at what amount can we say that a company's profits are too much to make? At what point is an individual's income going to be labeled as too much.
In fact, this is the type of thing I often hear from liberals when they talk about companies and individuals not paying their fair share in taxes and that it's wrong that they are profiting as much as they are.
It's not ok to pick and choose who can benefit from capitalism.
Where did you get the odd notion that Silicon Valley Corporations represent "capitalism"? Capitalism is the mask used to dupe normies into being OK with fascicom totalitarianism ie a sheep skin for psychopathic wolves. Read relevant Q drops.
Keep in mind AWS was built upon the carcass of AOL and WorldCom (amazon literally bought their assets for pennies on a dollar in Northern Virginia), which were arguably the biggest money laundering scheme and accounting fraud in the 90s.
The retail part of Amazon isn't even profitable, all the money is in AWS.
Is it such a leap to think all these monopolistic corporations exist because government sanctions them because they are really government owned entities that started out from darpa Ala fakebook ie lifelog? I've heard rumors in the past that Amazon could have never survived as it did on such a shoe string and in the red alot for many years at its beginning without backing by some kind of funding that wanted its existence.
I don't know if anything is real anymore. But if Facebook was an operation to monitor all our social movements, Amazon was meant to track our purchases and business secrets and possible break main street so we are even more government dependent. The big guys all got passes to stay open during covid...government always exempts itself from its rules.
