Started block walking yesterday and already had a few good conversations with neighbors. I’m still new to this, so if any of you have block walked before, I’d love any tips and advice.

Congrats! I was a precinct committeeman and ran for my county board a few years ago. It was heavily favored for democrats but needed to do it to bring some common sense back to the board. I lost but did better than anticipated and I definitely chalk that up to putting in the time of knocking on doors. Nothing beats a face to face conversation. You will obviously find people that will disagree but always be respectful and keep a smile on your face.
Get a voting list from your local county clerk. You’ll be most effective knocking on doors of people who are active voters. Look for American flags, no joke they tend to be republicans or at least moderate democrats. Try to walk with a candidate, it’s good to have company and voters love to ask questions of a candidate. Find out who is running for school board, county board, city council or state seats. Judges are ALWAYS a good person to walk with because people love chatting about local legal matters. I bet many of those neighbors had never been reached out to in such a personal level by any political entity before. No doubt, not everyone said "Oh cool! I'll become Republican right now!", but garanteed you left a lasting impression with them that will influence some of their future decisions.
You’re right! Our precinct did not have a Republican Precinct Chair until I was elected. So, chances are no one has reached to them. Unfortunately, there are many open Republican precinct chair positions across the US that are unfilled. We need to fix that.👍
ThankQ for stepping up. I did this in upstate NY a couple of years until I moved south. All I can say is even back when Obama was POTUS most of the Republicans I spoke with were very down on both parties. Many didn’t even feel like voting. I don’t know where you live but be sure to instill in them the power of their vote. Especially in the Republican primary where they can select the best candidate. So many people forget how important the own party primary is. That is where you have the loudest voice.

And one other thing. Make sure you really brush up all the candidates running in your area. You have a lot of sway with those who are NOT up to snuff on the candidates So you should be. Call the candidates yourself and introduce yourself to them and find out where they stand on issues.Let them know you are a Precinct Chair and you want to know where they stand on issues so you can share it with your precinct voters. Most of them if not all will appreciate your calling and taking time to get to know them.. People will remember when you add what the candidate represents.. low taxes, conservative values, right to life, etc. I had some voters who ONLY voted for expoused right to life candidates.
This is why I registered Republican a few years ago instead of staying independent- so I can vote in the primary & have it count.
Smart move. In closed primary states (most states), this is a MUST.

Block walking is great.
When you speak to people don’t decide certain things you would to sell them on etc - just be yourself and charismatic and say low hanging things like “I just want to return the power to the people and stop corruption. I didn’t want to do this - felt I had to. Maybe with some time I can earn the respect and loyalty of some of the people.” And be humble. When it’s too slick or aggressive they pull away.
You win by having a conversation - not steering it one way or the other. If they engage and feel like they can talk - that’s the win.
Takes time. Many mustard seeds.

I've talked to too many normie R's who are discouraged and hopeless. Just my sense but if you can inpart the fighting spirt to people maybe they can believe things can change. Who knows - maybe you can recruit some helpers! Much admiration for your efforts.

I didn’t block walk, but found it helpful to get as many like minded to the meetings, so you have the votes as needed. I found the state gop tried to run influence with the officers that were elected by the county chapter, shady situation.

I’ve done block walking, but not much tips as I’m sure what I experienced you probably already have experienced. If anything, and for anyone doing block walking, just be prepared to be challenged by those who may not agree with what you value. It could even be a good red pill opportunity for them if you know your data well

Invite people to the county convention,or monthly meeting,and try to get them involved with fund raising. Plan fund raisers that are fun like BBQ or chili cook offs. Should be a fun activity that also raises money.
