My sister is a nurse in Canada and is livid with me for even asking her about the movement and expressing concern over the vax. I grew up in a strong Christian family who is now experiencing horrible division over this. It’s awful and I’ve been in tears over it so much this week. My siblings are really upset and concerned about my “extremist/far right” beliefs and all seem to think I’m crazy. The pain and rejection is so real and I’m sorry that both you and your sister are experiencing it.

I’m so sorry you are feeling so alone. Hang in there! I was feeling so alone last year, and especially when the rest of my entire small family got vaccinated. My sister and I used to be close but ever since 11/20 our relationship is strained. She wants to stick her head in the sand and doesn’t want to hear anything from her crazy older sister. The good news is that my mother has realized how much I know and is not taking the booster and will readily watch or read what I send her (and she is a retired nurse!) And my stepmother is red-pilled thanks to me and will not be getting the booster or letting my father get one. Unfortunately she had a TIA event 3 weeks ago (but is fine now.)
So it has gotten easier as my family wakes up. But I will say that these are the more conservative relatives. My husband’s liberal side has dug in and shows no sign of waking up - and he has a large family!
I leaned a lot on God when I struggled. He always helps us 😊
When my family, sisters, disowned me for.my views IL went about my merrybwaybwith a smile.
Now they want to make up but keep their bullshit views. Nope. I'm happier without them in my life making me miserable. And, I know at some point they'll know i was right. Then maybe we can talk again.
I hate to hear these stories. We're all multi-faceted individuals. Love your friend/family, or move on. Refuse to discuss the topic of the jab. No need to isolate yourselves from your support system. If these people are adults, mentally competent,then they've made their decision. Respect it as you would expect yours to be respected. Use your powder to go after the government mandates. Refuse to fight with individuals. Won't get you anywhere but alone. .
Fren, I am convinced that soon, she will be offered many opportunities because SHE is on the right side of history, while her idiotic classmates will be left out in the cold. I know it seems to be taking forever, but what a wonderful pair you are and how lucky you are to have each other. She supports you and you support her. Do what you have to do to get through this time - live together and share expenses, if necessary. THIS TOO SHALL PASS. It will. Do you honestly want to work for people that are that bad. It would be the job from hell. The people bothering her are the ones that are ideologists. They are the ones that want communism. The funny thing is right now they get a bit of freedom because they are vaxxed but once all Canadians are vaxxed that freedom will go out the window. So will any bank accounts, rsps, homes, cars or anything else you own. They are using the system against people because so many people are already invested. It needs to stop and standing up to them is the only way to stop them. Tell her to find a lawyer go to rebel news I think they update places you can get help when you are mistreated for standing up for your rights. When I first started working 25+ yrs ago there was a large group of Canadian nurses that were given contracts to work here in LA. Still have a few that made this their home. I would dare say that if she is willing to relocate to the states then she should have no problem. There are recruiters who can help facilitate legal docs and licensures I’m sure. The US is all the time bringing in nurses from the Philippines.
