It might pass, but I doubt it'll stick. It's a definite that it'll be challenged in court, probably in one of our most liberal counties, where it will be overturned.
Damn near every high school in this state, if not all of them, has some sort of LGBTQ affiliated group. I can't see them just laying down and taking this without a long, drawn out court battle. Wouldn't surprise me if they try to take this to SCrOTUS, too.

Child Muslims are taught to not eat ham. It’s not an inborn thing. Christian children are taught one man one woman. Indoctrination of children against parental teaching no matter what is anti-whatever religion the parents follow. If you can’t teach about God, you can’t teach about LGBT.

Look, my cousin's daughter is a senior in High School here in Volusia County. We live in a solidly red area, however, VCSB is ran by solidly left leaning Dems. Socio-Commies run our school boards in almost every FL county, regardless of the populace's political leanings. I watched this young lady go thru a crisis if faith and conscience due to the LGBTQ dogma. Almost all of her friends are confused, deluded, and brainwashed to the point of severe mental illness. She's already a a mentally frail girl. The LGBTQ "activists" in our schools prey on people like my cousin's daughter.
And it needs to stop.

This is what I try and point out to people. I ask them if they’ve even been with the opposite sex. A lot of teens are too social inept to talk to anyone, let alone the opposite sex. So they hear this lgbt nonsense and think of that must me me cuz I think so and so is so pretty/handsome I want to be like them.
Also if your gay or trans, cool idgaf. I don’t go pointing out I’m strait everywhere I go. Like give it a rest.
Give me a break. The Bible is clear that sodomy and lesbianism is against God, a mortal sin. As a Christian you cannot “praise” an act that will send someone to Hell. That’s misleading them.

Any sex that's not between a biological man and woman within the parameters of marriage, is sin, according to God's word. That includes heterosexual sex outside of marriage. That's how God designed it. People can disagree and believe love is love, and that's their prerogative, but that is what God has designed and decreed.

My nieces (15 and14) just asked me if I support LBGTq+ yesterday. I said NO, it goes against God. While they do not partake in any of it they think they should be supported. Indoctrination, very sad.

No, everybody has to defer to parents concerning sexuality. Even doctors and psychologists. Psychologists and psychiatrists ranked are riddled with pedophiles. Don't give doctor some extra rights or aura - parental rights are sacred.

My .02 is that this is the right move for the wrong reasons. The issue shouldnt be one of taking offense, or morality, or protecting the rights of Christians, or any of that. If kids want to celebrate their own sexuality, they are going to anyway, so disregard the children on this.
The common sense point is that the teachers and administration have no business celebrating sexual lifestyle or sexuality whatsoever. Just like they have no business celebrating race, or religion, or social class, or whatnot. Even sex-ed should be at the will of the parent, and taught by medical professionals instead of “health” teachers. We shouldn’t be allowing the public school system to promote, or by necessity then put down, any student or group of students for any of their lifestyle traits. It has zero to do with education.
I do not like religion scrambled with my legislation. If you can not package a controversial (to some) piece of legislation to rise above simple dismissal for being proposed by “religion freaks”, and by that I mean the very loud opposition, then find someone else to package it. Love the idea, hate the way it is promoted.
I think not wanting to submit other people's children to topics that either they should want to handle/not expose to their child, in a some-what controlled environment, is fair.
The aspects of LGBQ are highly sexual, and that is not a topic for school, there for, a teacher's personal life has NOTHING to do with children.

One of our biggest liabilities as a country are public schools in general, it's a failed construct prone to attack, and I hope next session we can start making progress on "funding students not systems".

No. While it's a fascinating proposal, it is a common fallacy known as avoiding the question and will never get us to the Truth. While I certainly appreciate the days of "don't ask, don't tell" in light of the current insanity, this problem goes much deeper and requires critical thinkers to train others in logic, reasoning, and debate so that we can put these discussions back into the public forum.
