I’m pleasantly surprised that of the republican primary turnout
Republican Primary
It’s happening people… the republican primary line is 3x as long as the democratic primary. I know it’s not a general open election, but still. Just seeing a MUCH larger turnout in a DEMOCRATIC STRONGHOLD is pleasantly surprising. Even the people in the democratic line are surprised to see how many people showed up for republicans (to primary shitbags like Crenshaw)
Voted for my first time in Texas. The whole thing took 2 hours. When I left the line was much longer. They had five machines for Rs and four for Ds. The D machines sat empty pretty much the entire time I was in the building.
My polling place was strange this year. Rep and Dem seemed to share voting machines. You got a code after tellng the one person which party. You use the code on a machine. There was a total of 5. First time ever having to wait. In the past, we were in same room but had to go to different tables and people.
Ditto. Was surprised to see turnout for a primary. Could not tell R from D. You pointed to your party for the person at registration to give you a party coded ballot. All machines shared across parties.
Congrats on voting for the first time in Texas. Did you just move there or is it first time voting in general?
I'm in Alabama and in November when I voted, they allow handicap folks go to the front of the line. Thank goodness because the line was out the door, around the church and way across their land and already starting to curve from there. I told my daughter there is no way I can stand there that long, a number of people saw my daughter helping me walk to find the end of the line and told me to go back to the front of the building and tell them I was handicapped, and they will let me in front of line. I don't like cutting people in line, but I did, no one had an issue with it. I would have let someone worse than me in front of me also, without hesitation. They allowed my daughter to come with me, it was her first time voting. I'm proud of her! She is shy, so she would not have gone if I didn't ask her to come with me.
Moved here last May. Another funny one today. Waiting in line outside chatting with other folks in line when someone comes out of the building and asks for Dems to come forward as there's no wait for them. It was a long walk past everyone waiting but no problem since they were the only ones wearing masks.
If I would’ve ran for primary, I would’ve been running against a close friend. Don’t want to take away the value of our votes if me and him both ran
I thought for some reason, you were not from the USA.
Surprise surprise lol. 100% polish blood. Dual citizenship. Native speaker in both languages
Does your close friend know you frequent this board? :)
Oh yea!
Of Houston?? Galleria… if your referring to Poland, the Krakow region
I have a close friend who visited and loved Krakow. Wants to go back to live for a while.
If Crenshaw gets primaried I will shit my pants.
Hope he does. WEF scumbag.
500k voted for Beta O'dork, I cant understand it! that guy is a big 'ol sack of shit. reps had 200k total more primary votes than dems so theres that. Should Abbott lose for any reason im going to have to leave the best state in the union, sucks.
I actually didn’t vote for Abbott. He’s not as strong as he claims to be. A very reactive governor rather than a proactive one. Why didn’t he impose fines on businesses for STILL “requiring” you to wear a mask despite his executive order?? Why isn’t he standing up for employees who are being harassed by their job for not receiving the vaccine? For example, United Airlines employees?? Why isn’t he defending Memorial Hermann employees?? Our border issue obviously hasn’t improved. Dems are FLOODING to TX from Cali, why not put some type of preventative rapid inflation/housing issues in place to protect those who already live here? He’s all about the money… nothing more
me neither I voted for Alan West, same reasons. Abbott is a kiss ass and it letting all these Silicon Valley giants move to Texas which lays the groundwork for turning Texas blue. idiot.
I don't live in Texas, but everything you've said is right, except for the cali to Texas part. Seriously, people not to stop with that. It's been proven over and over again that in literally every case of interstate migration from blue to red states over the last 20 years, at least 90% of people moving to the red state are conservative and moving because they fell like the red state fits their values and beliefs better.
That being said, I'd personally go with Alan West if I were ya'll. Just saying.
The problem there is your assumption he actually got 500K votes legitimately, which we all know he didn't. Because just like every other liberal, he can't win without cheating. But unlike most liberals, he can't win even with an absurd amount of cheating backing him up.
It makes me sad that people unironically think Beta O'Rourke is a liberal.
Trump is closer to being a liberal than most of the idiots with a D after their name.
"but trumps a conservative." Precisely my point. A conservative is more of a liberal than a Marxist ever could be...
not sure about that, astonished to drive around inner Austin and seeing all the pro democrat yard signs. Im sure inner cities are where his votes are coming from, esp Austin, which is sad.
I'm not trying to start an argument here, but this is part of the problem. We can't have it both ways here. People on this board can't seem to make up their minds.
Either the left is cheating at an absurd level, which ALL of the evidence points to, or they're not and there's just that many stupid people. When we do things like this we're trying to have our cake and eat it too.
Austin proper has nearly a million people (I think it's like 980K-ish). When you have massive amounts of people in very small areas, it's VERY easy to focus on only one or two prominent visuals. In this case, we're talking about liberals having pro dem signs in their yards.
Alright, say 20% of Austin is actually liberal. That's 196K lefties in the city proper, all who are going to be MUCH louder, and MUCH more in your face than the dead tired hard working blue collar conservatives who just want to be left alone. Thus giving off the impression that there are many more liberals in the city than there actually are.
I can take this a step further. In most cases you'll find that certain areas of the city seemingly have a much higher frequency of obvious lefties. Well, that's because of something called the Gates Gulch Effect. People live where they feel they're most welcome and among like minded individuals. Lefties will congregate together in "progressive neighborhoods" and "progressive business districts". Likewise Conservatives will tend to gather in conservative leaning areas and business districts in most cases. You can also apply this to demographics. Black people will tend to live where the black population is higher, mexicans where there are more mexicans, etc. etc.
All of these factors combined together with general media attitude and our own mildly defeatist mentality allows for the impression that certain areas are hopelessly blue, despite the liberals actually being a small minority.
Look at San Francisco, THE most liberal city in the nation. They recently had a bunch of leftist's booted off their school board and city council in a forced special election, and the GOP contenders are the favored to win every seat that was forcibly vacated.
If that's happening in San Francisco of all places, I doubt Austin or any other city in TEXAS is hopelessly lost.
I hope your right, but right now iAustin is a shit show. the city council and mayor are running it into the ground, Even with Paxton and Abbott running the state. I dont thing those totals were manipulated IN THIS CASE, I think theres enough dumbass liberals flocking here to carry that vote number. That is all
Alright so I just looked it up. In Travis county, the official numbers are the Cruz got 120k votes while Beto got 360k. So nowhere near the 500K mentioned. Now take into account that this was 2018, which we now KNOW was the year the left decided to test their use of mass cyber cheating on a larger scale than ever before in hopes of taking the house AND senate in order to impeach Trump.
Add to that the multitude of reports, even back then about voting machines switching votes both ways, as well as what we know now about how, in Texas specifically, Houston is being used as a ballot trafficking hub to house fake ballots and send them throughout the state to “blue strongholds” in order to pump their numbers organically and further cheat.
Combine all of this with what I’ve already said and it’s pretty obvious even a crap hole like Austin isn’t as blue as they’d have us believe.
Again, not trying to argue. Really I’m more just trying to give you a mood boost and a hit of hopium that all isn’t lost. Cause they aren’t.
We’re gonna win this one way or another Fren. You just gotta hold the line, have faith, and finally realize, there’s WAY MORE of us than there are of them. They’ve just done everything in their power to convince us of the exact opposite and we need to get rid of that defeatist mentality.
WWG1WGA
I think we're gonna be ok, fellas. Sometimes it's hard to have faith, but posts like this give me a well needed hit of hopium.
Thanks fren
I’m out in the burbs where the Republicans are. Democrat and Republican primaries were on different sides of the same room. Bit of a line for Republicans. Zero line and few comers for Democrats.
I’m in a democratic area…. I stand corrected… there is no wait time for democrats and a 45-1hr wait for republicans. The republican line wraps around the freakin building AND THIS IS A STRONG DEMOCRATIC AREA OF THE CITY!!
In texas, you can vote for either party in the primary. You are then locked in if there is a runoff. Most Republicans win in Nov so lots of Dems bote in the Republican primary. I voted in the Dem Primary for Hillary because of Obama.
I noticed there are places in Texas where the Dem candidate ran unopposed. I'm sure there were R's that way, too, but I thought we should try to ALWAYS have someone running!
It's always southern areas near border where no one wants to live Democrats and usually Hispanic.
This means the dems need to generate an additional 300% fraudulent ballots. Kek
When voting in Canada we vote anonymously. We use paper ballots. When the polls close the ballots are counted and tallied without any delays or pauses in the counting. All ballots are adjudicated by a representative of each party to guarantee authenticity.
And yet yours are still a fruadeau.
At least when he called an illegal snap election he did not gain any advantage from it.
Yet somehow Castro Jr got baited back in
I was a poll greeter in Texas today (Collin County) and our R turnout was awesome. There was a Democrat poll greeter and it was funny how many people turned away from her, and then I’d turn around and ask if they would like a conservative voter guide. They immediately walked over.🤣 I would say about 80% took our voter guide. Lots and lots of great conversations today.
Ha! I wonder if we talked today.
It’s very possible.
Fantastic work fren!!! Now you need to run for a local school board OR run for the precinct judge
Currently a precinct chair.😉
Very good! Keep going! Us pedes and digital warriors here have your back if you’re gonna run for higher local positions! Word on the internet plus thousands of pedes here pushing it can make BIG differences
We had 6 democrats and over 200 GOP...
As a Canadian I am fucking SHOCKED that you could be identified as either republican or Democrat. When voting I never have to divulge who I am voting for……ever. What the fuck is wrong with you people. Fix you fucking system!
It’s a primary, not a general election. Plus, you don’t know who the person actually is, you just know they are in that line… but hey, maybe that’s a good thing because dems see the overwhelming number of reps and could potentially reconsider
This is for the primaries. Not the general.
I stood in line for an hour and a half. The line of democrats never exceeded 10. The line for the republicans wrapped around the building. Twice. I kid you not, down one whole hallway I chatted with the people on the other side of the hall who would be inching around until they wound up where I was.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t .. I see your point.
I think we need to separate the centralized regime from the local ones. At the larger municipal level, where the tentacles of high government reaches, the corruption is too deep… that will be solved by Trump and the Q team. But at the grassroots / local level, it’s up to us.
We need to take back our local government (look at the sidebar on this board, Gen. Flynn’s message is there).
I do think how we got to this point is because we, as a Nation, sort of took our eyes off the ball decades ago, which forms a vacuum for which assholes who thirst for power get into office. Perhaps some started with good intentions, but over time were corrupted by power… hubris.
One thing is for sure, I see a whole lot more involvement from patriots at the local level … e.g. kicking CRT-driven school board idiots out of the room, standing up for our Constitutional rights etc.
More like 1000% more. Lines were EASILY a 10 to 1 ratio of republican voters outweighing democratic voters. You could see some of the dems look at our line and the look of shame or cluelessness on their face. It was EPIC!
I just hope they're not voting for more deepstate bots running under the Republican name. A lot of the every day right wing voting block still operates under the 'Republican good Democrat bad' programming that gave us presidents like Bush and candidates like McCain and Romney.
How the fuck did Crenshaw win by so much? That doesn't give me a good feeling about everything else
Many people still don’t know or understand… plus he redrew the district
That's a heroic effort if Crenshaw is sent packing back to the WEF. Fingers crossed
I voted for huffines in the primary. I’m praying he gets enough votes to force a runoff. The daily texan a communist rag said huffines was the most dangerous candidate in texas. So that told me I needed to vote for him.!
