The water that divides China and Taiwan is exceptionally bad during most of the year. Spring is the only time you can station naval vessels there and not have them torn to shreds by aggressive waves and storms.
Two:
Who says he isn't already moving?
Three:
Who says China is gonna take Taiwan? Is it possible Xi might dissolve the CCP and hand power over to Taiwan after an aggressive period of financial liquidation? Will they make it look like Evergrande slipped the rug out from under China in a massive scheme to explain why Xi Jinping felt it necessary to go to war with Taiwan, only for Taiwan to attack China's economic weak-point and win through a battle of financial attrition? Is Xi a White Hat, or is he gonna abandon this plan and try to go full dictator over China? Time will tell.
Whether or not Xi is a white hat, he's playing the role of villain. He's either full tyrant or good actor.
I'm leaning on the water being the better answer. 3 days from now is the last 4 year delta on Q's second "watch the water". Could refer to Taiwan's water as we approach spring (not that I claim this assertively, just theorizing).
China will almost certainly go for Taiwan when they see an opening, I'm sure. Xi dissolving the CCP would be the sort of clown world we'd hope to live in, but that is not the reality at present. At least for now.
A bigger question: Why isn't Putin taking Ukraine?
If Vladimir Putin wanted Ukraine he'd be eating breakfast in Kiev this morning. Why is he being so surgical in his attack? Why is he treating this like an "incursion" and not a war.
Exactly. He was telling the truth when he said this was a small military operation to protect the Ukrainians and not an invasion. The MSM is hiding all the images of Ukrainians welcoming Russian troops with open arms.
One child policy has done so much damage. All those single children have so many responsibilities.
If you kill one person, there are six adult dependents: two parents and four grandparents, who will have nothing left to lose because their family line is ended.
There are blackouts all over Taipei and Taiwan right now - comms dark is typically the first move made before a military take over. Understand that Xi is not with the hardline CCP faction behind Wuhan, but a reformer who is slowly taking down the CCP.
I think an answer to my question would be bad optics. But personally i dont think CCP gives a shit what their popularity is. Maybe they see the oppertunity but dont have a cheesy enough excuse?

Great comment. Solid thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
I support these views.
Three gorges dam.
Ah, the Achilles heel.
I once heard that it had a nickname that meant something like 'the Taiwan independence/freedom dam'
Well done, that meme artiste.

Because it would make him a war criminal like Putin. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10573429/Top-Russian-general-killed-Ukrainian-sniper-Kyiv-claims-9-000-Putins-troops-died.html?ito=social-facebook&fbclid=IwAR28dam0DsyQaxC2WWA77Bhn4d1OexMzIP7U1lHTjCxQztl8nWipbSth1lQ
Is he not already a war criminal?
What are they going to do? Sanctions China? 😂
