I live near three Naval Air Stations (NAS) and seeing/hearing same thing here. It is obvious when they are "gearing up" and headed out to the carriers.

Just moved north of Wilmington NC and I hear jets everyday and night. I even got a picture of two F22's flying overhead. The best was and Osprey with red and green rings floating overhead. When those exhausts are ppinted at you the jets are so loud it's awesome. So what night time missions are they doing?
Interesting, living in Virginia and I was outside noticing military helicopters in the air. Haven’t seen them in quite awhile and I was wondering if they’re in some training out at Belvior. Came in and saw this.
I live near an AFB and have heard more helicopter traffic than usual. But, could also just be training and the weather is getting nicer so they don't have to try to dodge snowflakes.
We take off for night missions all the time haha. Training or not. I wouldn't jump on the "it's habbening" wagon just yet. Lots of movement going on.
