Isn't propane a fossil fuel?
Why not use a windmill and solar panels Mr. Solyndra?
Hypocrite
Nope. Gas and oil are created naturally deep in the earth. A simple check of the elements contained in crude oil versus plants and animals shows that it would be impossible to create crude oil from plants or animals by any process known to man.
Exactamundo my fren. The term fossil fuels were coined by lobbyists to create the illusion of a finite resource.
Oil is like the natural grease byproduct of the Earth for a variety of geologic functions. It is not only self replenishing but far from being tapped out.
The Russians know. They call it the Russian-Ukrainian Theory of Deep Abiotic Petroleum Origin.
"Abiotic" means NOT from life.
Petroleum is created when calcium carbonate and iron oxide are pressed together under high pressure and high heat. It is the second-most abundant liquid naturally produced on Earth, other than water.
It is made within the Earth continually. That does not mean we won't use it faster than it can be produced, but it is continually produced.
Petroleum has been produced in a laboratory following this theory, proving the theory is true.

Is it the lubrication that the tectonic plates slide on? Is the earth actually a machine? Just an abstract thought.
Perhaps it is. The moon certainly looks like it is one. :)
"The Moon Rang Like a Bell" - NASA.
Interesting I’ll have to look into this
There is a book worth a peruse called “Who Built the Moon?” that sounds like it would be a Clown Show. But it’s not.
Years ago (separate from the book) the moon had a collision and NASA was watching and exclaimed that the Moon rang like a bell when it was hit. Hollow things ring. Not solid things.
The Moon’s location and size are a liiiiitle too “perfect” relative to the Earth’s size.
Do I think the Moon is hollow, fake, a robot, an observation tower…? The only thing I am sure of is that I do not know. But it’s fun to explore and think about.
EDIT: I just went back and read up a bit. Lots of theories on this, but one that sounds feasible is that the moon is solid, unlike the Earth (mantle + lava core), so the shock of having Apollo land on it caused "moonquakes" that reverbrated because there was no molten part of the core to absorb the shock. Sounds plausible. But, also, hollow things reverberate too.
This is true otherwise there is no way they could pump billions of drums of oil for decades from the same spot
Interesting. So deep water drilling may not be the result of low supply but rather meeting more demand? But then what about all of the oil fields that shut down in argentina? Supposed oil boom then bust.
The term fossil fuel was just another manipulation by the powerful at the time…think about how hemp was banned from society for paper use by the newspaper baron. I hear what you are saying about bust but those could also just be small pockets that are artifacts of deeper wells or something. Not saying this is 100% just saying if you removed possibly trillions of gallons over decades there’s no collapse or sinkholes in those areas? And demand has increased exponentially over the decades. I just don’t believe it’s finite as they are telling us. Think about gas at $2 a gallon even at $4 that’s really a steal if you think about what it takes. Getting a substances from under the ground and turning it into gas that can propel a 2000 pound vehicle at 80 miles per hour with ease. How much is a 16 oz bottle of water these days, some of which are simply filtered municipal tap water so people have been paying over $8 a gallon for bottled water for years and haven’t cried a bit. Oil is not scarce or gas would be $20 a gallon or more just supply and demand, rather it is $5 and climbing because our dick head resident has cut off all means of production.
Kind of makes sense pegging the dollar to petro, then creating oil scarcity or surplus to control value, similar to then diamond trade, how diamonds are artificially propped up in value from manipulated scarcity.
It was done to prop up the US dollar.
When Nixon removed the US dollar from the gold standard, the dollar had nothing to back it up.
So, they worked a deal with the oil producing companies in the Middle East to only sell oil in US dollars and no other currency, in exchange for military protection of their oil fields.
THIS is why there is so much US involvement in the Middle East. This is also why the US economy remained strong long after the welfare state should have melted it down.
The US economy stopped growing in 1970. It grew if you include inflation as part of the growth, but real growth slowed way down or stopped in 1970.
This is when the welfare state (started by FDR in 1935, and accelerated greatly by LBJ in 1965) became such a burden on the economy that real growth stopped.
That is also when national debt started to soar.
The economy could continue the illusion of growth due to an artificially propped-up dollar because of the petro dollar, as well as massive borrowing and Federal Reserve money printing.
When there is no gold to keep the corrupt politicians from doing stupid things, then they do stupid things that will get them re-elected. Personal power is more important to them than oath of office.
Also, I read an article several years ago. No way to really verify, but the writer was very convincing because of the level of detail. He said that part of the petro dollar scheme was that Saudi Arabia would invest its oil profits in US bonds, thereby propping up the bond market.
In addition, the interest earned by SA that was not needed by them, would be "made available" for secret, black ops by the CIA. This would be a pot of money that was not just off-budget of the US Congress, but unknown to them, as well. The CIA could do literally anything with it.
This may be what funded the economic hit teams that John Perkins revealed in his book, "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man."
Diamonds are useful for cutting in to stuff and drilling. As jewelry? Completely useless.
Russian scientists have been saying this for years. That's what made me do the research on my own into what crude oil is made of.
Prob some form of Fischer Tropsch processes taking carbon form rocks and h2o under very high heat and pressure and catalysts you’d get hydrocarbons
Actually it was coined by a research panel funded by John D. Rockefeller to give the illusion of scarcity
Of course the oil baron wants to create and maintain the idea of scarcity.
Gas and Oil are NOT a fossil fuel. Total BS
But coal is, as leaf imprints have been found inside chunks.
this guy would like to have a word with you
2500 gallons is 10 times what I have.
Still that’s not a very big tank for running a big house in a propane generator. Maybe a month or so if he’s being careful with ac or heat.
5x bigger than my tank and I gotta refill twice a yr. 2500 gal seems like a typical commercial kitchen size IMO.
Thanks for the logic in this thread.
No doubt this would feed a big generator capable of keeping his house powered, and who knows what else (his secret service detail's quarters, etc).
At a cost of $75,000 to him.
I mean we all know the rich and elite are not going to suffer
I lived on propane only for one month. We used 200 gals in Jan in Southern CA in 2004. I immediately purchased a wood burning stove and bought a cord of wood. Never used propane for heating the house again. I would think that in Martha's Vineyard in the winter in a large house that heater would be running non-stop. That tank-load might last a winter- maybe.
The Cape and Islands can get cold but not compared to say, Buffalo. The ocean moderates. The fall is warm, the spring is long. Shallow water in the area really warms the water in the summer months.
We had a well insulated 3000sq ft house, and nigh time temps were in the 30s-40s, daytime temps were 50-60s. 200 gallons in one month. I understand Buffalo gets in the 20s during the daytime. Brrrrrr.
Pretty dangerous quantity of a heavier than air, flammable gas. It would be a shame if something were to happen to it. Just sayin'.
I know.... I'm deeply concerned for his safety.... lol
No doubt, it would be a terrible loss for Kenya.
For a house that size. That tank ain't getting you very far in the northeastern winters. It would be worth noting if he put in a 10k gallon tank.
He’ll have a personal delivery man fill it up on a regular basis. He’s not going to suffer.
1 bomb ..... and boom
that is only 10m³.
Average use of natural gas for cooking and heating of a 5 member household on a 150m² house = 1200m³ of natural gas a year. 100 on average per month.
3 days only .....
I guess he is betting on big Mike farts doing the warming in the winter should the gas delivery fall short this winter ....
Biggest flame thrower in the Vineyard
Prepping? Doesn't that make him an extremist? Shouldn't we report him?!?!
I do not understand how having one single GIANT tank that is very close to the ocean ... is prepping. Unless it's just prepping in the short term for no electricity.
Being on Martha's Vineyard with no electricity would I guess be not a half-bad way to ride out a few months of "28 Days Later", especially if you know how to fish.
I've heard he might be also building a bunker. That sounds more like prepping.
That is enough propane to keep his seaside mansion running for two years. He is prepping for having no electricity. $75,000 investment to his energy needs doesn’t sound like prepping to you? Propane is used for generators.
Sure. But one large tank very close to the ocean sounds like a bad design. Fragile.
I would go with three tanks, and probably erect some wind turbines (lots of wind in Martha's Vineyard) and solar (if it could be protected properly from the ocean salt and wind) so I could talk about how I am "living my values" since he's supposedly one of the dudes saving the Earth (he's not).
He's going to light the propane tank on fire and make it blow up as a false flag and simultaneously destroy all evidence at martha vineyard?
