That is probably the stupidest move Twitter could make.
Discovery by Twitter against Musk will be restricted to just this deal and his finances... so won't amount to anything.
Discover by Musk's lawyers against Twitter will open the entire Twitter organization up to full scrutiny. Every database, all customer records, all of Twitter's financial disclosures and reports over the years... everything about Twitter will be opened up for full review including forcing Twitter executives to give testimony under oath.
I don't know what Twitter is thinking... but this dumb decision may spell the end of their company, and possibly result in prison time for some of their executives.
My thoughts on this and MINE alone are that this is what Elon wanted ALL along...If Elon had sued outright they would have ALL OF HIS INFO BUT, since he is "BUYING" a company and Twits is bumbling along, in the public domain no less, to cause Elon to say..."NOPE, AINT BUYIN'" and Twits comes back - "you have to buy us"....this back & forth nonsense was all ABOUT GETTING TWITTER TO FILE SO THAT ELON GETS TO LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL SO TO SPEAK!!!!!
I would bet my left testicle (if I hadn't already lost it in a previous bet) that it is over 50%. If it were 10:1, I would not be surprised. I think 50% would itself cause a mass awakening, but 90% would just completely destroy a lot of peoples brains.

Twitter admitting their entire company is not worth $44B today or any time in the near future. This is the best value they believe they can get for the business.
