Vancouver Times seems to be some sort of fake news site, but their attempt at satire appears to be just them trolling conservatives with plausible-sounding content. Satire would normally contain an element of the absurd to hint to anyone reading that the story is farcical. Satire would also make some sort of attempt to make some sort of political or moral statement. This is just a liar masquerading as a journalist to try to make conservatives look foolish for repeating his lies. What an asshole.
There's no indication this is satire until the very end of the article when they provide this 'disclaimer'. Since many people have limited attention span, they typically don't read the entire article. To me, this fact is a well known and is being used for a desired outcome. You could say this article is bordering on fraud and could argue that the intent is designed for deceiving those that come across their website.
The funny thing is this could be labeled as a libel/slander publication since the satire fact is so out of view and not obvious it’s fake. There will be a few people out there that take it as 100% fact and Tim hortons could sue or the ceo could sue. Probably not since any association with this kind of allegation is very incendiary and hurts anyone’s image lol. They just don’t get it.
I see it marked as Fake News flair. I think this is great because we now see that it’s fake. I have suggested you could add Shitpost flair to debunked articles but the Fake News one works well too
This needs to be stripped off. How much blatant B.S. will this page tolerate? Will someone next post an expose that 2 + 2 actually equals 5, and it will stay around? For an audience that is supposed to be dedicated to getting at the truth, posting and tolerating acknowledged lies is pretty perverse.
What do I do with my Burger King Gift Card now? Do I use it because it's already been paid for? Do I sell it..but someone else will just use it. Do I just throw it away and waste money? Do I wait until the current CEO gets replaced by a non-pedo CEO and then feel better about using it? I'm in such a dilemma here.
I've noticed a growing number of these satirical website masquerading as real news. Be careful of these. OP take notice.
My thoughts regarding these aka "Michael Baxter" type websites is that they are Marxists attempting to 'poison' the community well. If enough people are duped, then the blow-back could easily favor the 'Ministry of Truth and Misinformation' eliminating all non-governmental approved news sources. These fake articles are akin to FBI provocateurs being injected in peaceful demonstrations.

Yep. It sure fooled me at first.

The article says satire. I can find no other source. How can they print shit like this without getting their asses sued off for libel?
This is not satire. It’s psy-op. Throw fake news on the pile of real accounts of child molestation, then use it to discredit the actual accounts.
Please read articles before posting. This is BS and a waste of time.
Shitpost flair!
Satire....
Stop.

Hhhhmmmm I'm sensing a theme here...............

Fake News
There's a good joke in here somewhere.
Fact or Ferrytale. Check out this segment on Ragecast episodes... there is a Telegram Channel if anyone wants to look it up.
The “news” now a days is so ridiculous that it is hard now to tell which is which. Satire is often Fact, and “Fact” is Fiction.
Welcome to Clown World.
fake and gay
Classic quote:
I don't drink "shitty coffee" regardless of where it came from!
Satire.
wow just satire? I don't count this as satire, more like libel.
after they had to back down on vax tyranny yesterday...
man the DS ers are falling fast... is the rain of arrests and resignations the leading edge of the storm?

I was confused about the setup of the article and how at the end they have a gotcha blurb. How incredibly stupid
