I agree that having some like DeSantis as VP would be great. Would also set him up to take over. I also love having based Governors and he is one of the best.
I have High Hopes for Kari Lake too. If she does the things she claims to want too, she will be right up there with the best governors.
Nah not MTG. On timcast she couldn't even come up for a logical defense as to why she still owns Pfizer stock. Although she has played her part, there's something slimy about her.
Kari was also a local news personality. She was part of the media.
Everything Iβm seeing from her in this campaign looks good.
People change - and Iβm sure there are a lot of us on this board, and in this movement, that had questions about Trump when he first entered the race.
My hope is that Kari is the real deal, and any past opposition to Trump is completely resolved, and her eyes opened.
Trump also talks her up in a way thatβs far more positive than any other candidate or current politician. I have to believe that if sheβs at all shady, heβd be well aware of that intel.
I love Kari Lake. I watched her newscast for 2 decades - you could never tell her politics. Then - she had me at the hot mic incident in July 2019 where she attacked the liberal rag, The New Times!!! It was superb! She was a secret conservative!! She is smart, knows their game, and shines with true passion for America.
I am uncommitted until she wins the governship and I see her actual actions. Too many people talk a good game. She would be several years out and likely post Trump if she is worthy of higher office. Time will show her true colors.
DeSantis has time in the office and shows what he does. I think Kari is awesome too but needs to be in the Governorship for a period of time to prove herself and kick some major ass in AZ by seeing to it that the criminals who colluded in stealing 2020 are prosecuted by the new State AG. Let's pray that takes place.
The biggest issue is that 2020 was a stolen election. If that is not fixed/overturned then it's a moot point.
I think, like many business men and women, they have historically funded both sides of the aisle, so when they need their project approved, they can say they donated to the politician's campaign.
The world seems to have changed a lot since then, but that's how the game used to be played. It's kind of a low level, legal, bribe of sorts.
I am not sure if Trump went from rep to dem or visa versa. The big illusion of choosing sides, as they want us to, is over for me. I hate RINOs as much as Commies.
After watching a couple hundred #Walkaway videos...the fact that she was a democrat at one point in time doesn't phase me. She most likely had a "come to Jesus" moment, like so many others, and started seeing the filth and destruction that is the democratic party and said "no more". I gladly voted for her this morning.
Ok let me try to change your mind. She was asked this question the other day on Newsmax while I was watching. Have you ever listened to her explanation? She said she was sick of the Iraq and Afghanistan war and the lies being told about it, and when she looked at Obama and NoName in 2008, being from Arizona, she knew NoName was NOT going to end the war. He never met a war he didnβt like. She was fooled by Obama (as many were) and felt he would end the forever war. After that she flipped to independent, and then back to Republican. I find that to be an extremely plausible explanation.
Everyone starts out as Democrat in their youth, turn Republican once you have a job, family,, and responsibility.
I don't know why people make a big deal of this?
There's something wrong with me then LOL. I remember when I was in college or high school and Hillary was in charge of drafting a national health care plan. I thought, "That is some creepy creepy bad idea stuff." I also remember Biden running for President a thousand years ago, and being raked over for plagiarism. I had really bad vibes about him way back then. Loved Reagan in the day too.
Good news is I turned my husband into a Conservative. He voted for Clinton can you believe?!? That was a long, long time ago.
I'm wary of her, too, but somewhat hopeful. Reading the article you linked here and she switched away from the Republican party after Bush Jr's war-mongering and I can relate to that.
While I certainly didn't go over to the dark side (demoncrap), I did not vote for Bush Jr for a second term, this from being a lifelong Republican. The 911 attack set off too many red flags and I started paying closer attention, thought Dick Cheney was the evil incarnate and the whole WMD debacle cemented the realization that there was something very wrong with the establishment politicians on both sides of the aisle.
What I'm trying to say is that the Bush Jr presidency was a political awakening for me and other previously staunch Republicans. I really can't blame Ms. Lake from getting disgusted with the right at that juncture in history.
With all the hype about the renegade I think many people were hopeful he'd be okay, but after seeing him in action and doing what was unmistakeably deliberate damage to the country, many who bought into that hope turned away before he ran for re-selection.
I could be wrong, but it appears to me that her party switches were principled ones, not opportunistic.

I like MTG
She comes across as genuine. Not afraid to say the quiet part.
Mtg would be great for the Reeeeeeee
Don Jr would be a very decent choice too, for the reeeee!
No, no more family dynasties.
Nah not MTG. On timcast she couldn't even come up for a logical defense as to why she still owns Pfizer stock. Although she has played her part, there's something slimy about her.
We love her in GA. Against our bunch of crooks, she is a breath of fresh air.
That I can understand. I'd take her over whatever the alternative would be. But at the same time still don't fully trust her.

A great journalist should be unbiased and report just the facts, ma'am.
Uhm. Does the name Mehmet Oz ring a bell?
I know, I know⦠However, I maintain that Oz was a strategic endorsement and nothing more.
I think it was likely based on which candidate had the strongest chance to win in the general.
There must have been something about Barnette that made her less viable in a blue district, where a majority of republicans are probably RINOS.
But thatβs just my theory.
If that's true, and not made up, that's not good.
IMO I would NOT have her as a VP.
I am uncommitted until she wins the governship and I see her actual actions. Too many people talk a good game. She would be several years out and likely post Trump if she is worthy of higher office. Time will show her true colors.
As they say, we shall see.
Need the full post though.
Desantis as VP guarantees 12 years of maga, worst case.
It also rips up their plans of divide and conquer

I agree π―% u/marcellapalaferri ππ»
She has a track record as a flip flopper, Republican --> Democrat --> Republican
When I hear her talk, I hear an actor being dramatic.
Change my mind....

Trump used to be a Democrat too. The thing is, there are not two parties made up of Dems and Reps.
It's US vs Them.
Anyone, from either party, that recognizes this, and denounces both because of it, and becomes America First, is the right candidate to support.
That's just my own humble opinion.
So was Reagan.
Did Trump ever switch from Republican to Democrat? Kari Lake did.
Fool me once......
Trump was a Democrat his whole life, he became a Republican before he ran his race for president.
I think, like many business men and women, they have historically funded both sides of the aisle, so when they need their project approved, they can say they donated to the politician's campaign.

If I had McStain as my senator, I wouldn't want to be identified with the same party either. That being said, I wouldn't be a D, not never

I don't see her being solid enough for VP.

Almost everybody.
