As soon as Kari gets into office she needs to work with the legislatures: 1) voting on Election Day only, 2) mail in ballots only for deployed military and home bound citizens with a rx. written by a doctor AND accompanying the mail in ballot, 3) insure photo ID AND verification of citizenship-start now with computerizing voter rolls and cross checking with vital statistics re. place of birth, SS number, current address, 4). Make drop boxes illegal, 5). Outlaw voting other than at the polls illegal-no vans, no ballot harvesting, mail in ballots only for home bound and deployed military, 6). Employers must make accommodations for voting-time off, late start, early end and/or the state must make Election Day a legal paid day off (government workers), 7) anyone who obstructs voting or vote counting with representation of both parties present, obstructing by barriers, threatening persons present, or enters ballot containment or machine facilities without a witness present and/or proper credentials will be arrested and charged with a felony to include not less than 10 years of imprisonment and a fine not less than $50,000, if found guilty, 8) anyone casting more than one ballot, voting without U.S. citizenship, lying to secure voting rights, falsifying identity to obtain voting rights will be arrested and charged with a felony of not less than 10 years in prison and a fine of not less than $50,000 or more, if found to be guilty, 9) no outsider funding of candidates not residing in and paying taxes in the state will be approved, 10) limit and enforcement of the amount acceptable given to candidates by political parties and individuals with residency in the state, or businesses paying taxes in the state will be limited-the amount to be determined. Limiting donations will make it more equitable for anyone who chooses to run as a candidate to be successful by limiting outside funding and influence. 11). It will be deemed illegal for outsiders to provide money/donations to legal state residents to give to candidates as “donations”, 12) the state will pay for and erect signs in several languages prominently displayed to announce anyone registering to vote or voting without U.S. citizenship, false ID, or not residing within the voting area will be charged with a felony, 13) DMV locations will not automatically register to vote anyone obtaining a state ID or driver’s license without asking, “Are you a U,S. Citizen, last 4 SS numbers of a valid SS number, and verification of current address?” DMV will prominently display signs showing it is a felony to register to vote if not a U.S. citizen and state resident. Each DMV employee witnessing the sworn statement of citizenship to register to vote, must be a notary. That will make the signing by the registrant a notarized statement and legally binding. The application for driver’s license, state I.D., and voting will be available in several languages (to be determined). These are all suggestions to strengthen voting.
