Many years ago, organised crime was always fighting against the government that was trying to take it down. Then they hit upon a plan: Why not BE the government?
That way they could use the power of the government to take down any rival gangs and always fail to catch themselves doing anything wrong. They could tip themselves off about any raids, surveillance, infiltration etc.
and then a new one will rise up because there will always be psychopaths in our species that will endeavour to infiltrate the Government and Institutions and the cycles will just keep repeating. It' just so tiring.
I get you. let's just give up and let the crazies take over. we are in such a good position, it won't hurt us all that much to live in a new totalitarian state. it's not like they will try to enslave us or kill many of us off, and even if they do, we are in a better position to not be effected by this. there are so many other lesser people than us for them to go through first. I've always wondered this. What exactly is the solution? Even if you end voter fraud, there is still the unfairness of more money = easier to win an election (ads, signs, hiring workers, TV time, SEO, etc), therefore you still end up with billionaires/trillionaires planting whomever they want into positions of power.
When you truly step-back and look at it all... whew we've got a lot of problems that need fixin'. I guess going for the biggest head of the beast (Central Bankers, Wall Street, Fiat Currency) would be a huge step in the right direction.
