Oxymoron. "Don't tread on me" placed on a registration you are forced to use. Government has no right to force We the People to register OUR property with them.
It's nobody's business what you own.
Especially for an automobile that you use for traveling ....
I guess, that is what you get by identifying with your public law persona.
Well I am for limited government, not zero government. Would be like waring factions 24/7 until any other organized country came in to dunk their nuts ok us.
That being said, dirt roads, sink holes big enough to swallow a semi, and collapsing bridges would be the result.
Yeah, sort of what you see today .....With the added bonus of mass immigration of illegals coming for a handout.
I am not sure what made you respond like you did. Who' s talking about zero government? We are talking about the life you are living in Davy Jones Locker, an inverted world.
That is done via the public law persona, whereas your body is a private law person. By doing that, governments have divorced people from their rights in favor of privileges, acting as if the latter is preferable: slave vs freeman, subject vs sovereign. Now the servant exploits those meant to be served. (Amendment 10)
It does not mean no government. Government is nothing more that agreed upon rules with confinements for government, ergo: by definition would mean a limited government, close to the lives people live, strong on borders, external defense.
What made me comment the way I did? The two comments above mine, that I commented under - thought that was fairly obvious?
Anyways, registering private property in this case goes to funding transportation infrastructure. That's why I disagree somewhat with saying the gov has no right to force people to register property. In this case, with how retarded people are in general, roads would be a complete nightmare.
Also, I have yet to have a bridge collapse under me or see a sink hole big enough to swallow my car that isn't immediately repaired.
Not sure what public transport tax via public registry of property has to do with mass illegal immigration, but nice straw man there.
Well, you given the place of your comment, you seemed to respond to my remark.
Apparently, that was not the intention.
As far as straw man goes .... there is none here. But that will depend on your vantage point.
Now do how forcing you to buy insurance is fascist and totalitarian.
Lemme help you out with this abhorrent government intrusion on your right to bear Chevys:
It’s a license plate for vehicles that will be utilized on public roads. The ‘registration’ is logical if you want to also have an enabler for the public safety and security apparatus. Also to pay for and/or maintain it. The plates give LEOs a unique identifier if they need to track down stolen vehicles, identify potential deadly threats that may exist if the vehicle is associated with a criminal … you know, because we will always have those, lots of other LOCIGAL reasons to give your vehicle a unique ID.
“Don't tread on me” is not a bumper sticker slogan against ‘the man’. It applies universally.
Freedom over force. Whatever the issue, I'll always choose freedom over force. If the government is offering valuable services, then make them voluntary.
If the vaccine had appeared to be beneficial, they wouldn't have had to force it. It's the same for all policies, edicts, licensing requirements, and on and on.
Choose freedom.
You are speaking in absolutes. That’s not the real world … and, you have fallen into the logical fallacy of Freedom versus Force.
In order to have order , and a viable social contract, a society MUST have DEGREES of both Freedom, and Force. It is called CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED.
A society where the citizenry participate in Maintaining the proper degree of each under a contractual document (where the ‘rules’ are spelled out) and agreed upon by the majority of its citizens is called Constitutional Republic.
It is the same exact reason Communism fails every single time. Communism fails to provide a mechanism that then allows its citizenry the opportunity to regulate the proper degree of Force its government is allowed to exert in order to perpetuate the communist utopia. Humans that are handed power, will rarely voluntarily relinquish that power. Its a fallacy. So is pure freedom. Its a bullshit Fallacy. Pure freedom to do anything you want immediately descends into mass chaos and anarchy.
Communism is evil, that's why it fails. Freedom works, just give it a chance.
It's a convenience too, as you said. Unique identifiers make locating stolen cars easier. Anyone who has gone down the bicycling rabbit hole has heard a lot of stories about how they couldn't prove a bicycle was theirs and get it back unless they had a unique identifier somewhere on the bicycle that showed it was theirs.
Without a license plate, your black Corvette that you worked to save for and buy would just be one of many in a sea, and you would never get it back, whereas the license plate aids in various ways.
And yes, public roads. We as a community agreed with unique identifiers on the shared road, just like we agreed with reaching a certain age of maturity to be able to drive freely.
It's not really a winnable fight, and you're not required to have a plate to own the car, just to use it on public roads.
P.S. I do feel like mandatory insurance is fascist and totalitarian though.
A license plate is not a VIN number and comes off a car in under a minute. If I steal your corvette, the plate is the first thing that is coming off, never to be seen again. The best way to identify your vehicle (aside from a VIN) is to do non-stock modifications on it.
Plates only matter if you get pulled over and an officer runs your ID next to the plate. Until then, you can have a fake or stolen plate without issue. (stolen plates might be noticed, if recently added to the list or an officer is bored or plate-scanning) You can drive across the country with different plates on the corvette with a low risk of trouble if you drive safely. So clearly they're not a reasonable deterrent against car theft. Chop shops are a thing, as well.
Public roads can be funded with a tax, and don't need to be paired with a plate.
Its a vanity plate option, nobody is being forced to use it. You have to request the plate.
The registration is the forced part.
NEEDS THE GATOR PLATE! FAFO
Looks like we won't be seeing you on the field this year.
GO GREEN!
LIBs and FBI...but I repeat myself
Lol good laugh thank you !
Now on to the next item on the FBI “domestic terrorism goup”
Isn’t that the latest FBI patriots are terrorists symbol—?
Badass
Many states already have one of these. Not seeing the big deal.
Almost every state has better looking license plates than North Carolina. I don’t if we have this version. I don’t pay an extra fee for special plates.
PA doesn't.
