I’ve been on this form for a long time, and you will receive the same type of comments and rage regarding tax dollars that are being sent to Ukraine, and other useless reasons. This just happens to be the topic for this week, so it’s on the forefront. People are still enraged, and upset about all the money that’s going to Ukraine as well.

I guess the whole point is, they want us enraged… And it’s working. Maybe we should be focusing are not allowing fear porn and rage porn to rule our lives.

The forgiveness should come along with the cancellation of federal student loans completely. Then tuition would go back to being equal to a summer spent working as a life guard.

When need based loans were invented the colleges began making students need more to go to their school. It’s all a racket. Someday the benefit will come around to other types of debt bc this system can’t go on like this. These loans and our home loans were literally generated money from the fed. Usury is bad no matter who the lender is and what the reason for borrowing is.

It's personally galling because of how unfair it is. Some people worked extra hard, went without luxuries to pay their debt. Now they get to pay for fuckheads that spent their student loan money on weed and spring break vacations.

We're all equally screwed paying for wars and whatnot, but this shit benefits assholes at the expense of the responsible.

All the spending is bad. This is sticking out to me because of that it means. Closer steps to socialism. Everytthing else the government spends money on is bad but this is a clear reward for being inline with the socialist progressive ideology. Its also particularly irritating as many will vote blue thinking they will get more and ignore the ramifications of it.

It's not forgiving debt, it's one more avenue of stealing from us taxpayers. I'm not that worked up and still think your half right.

I think you could take your point and reiterate it across every topic people flip out about here because for as many as trust the plan the confidence can seem fickle at times.

The main point is this type of wealth piracy has ALWAYS plagued the United States...it is being out out in the open, in blatantly obvious fashion on purpose.

IMO - I would rather tax money go to student loans than Ukraine. Not wasting them would be much better, but at least we are spending on Americans.

These kids just want the easy way out. They want someone else to pay their bills. Biden wants more voters before the mid-terms who will vote his way. It's like we are fighting a losing battle. HOWEVER....

If we could get those who are campaigning to run some ads to help STOP those freeloading college kids from voting democrat, it could backfire on Biden. I'm thinking the TRUTH. Tell them in the ad that not only will those who paid their own ways through college, along with those who never went to college, but YOU, YOUR CHILDREN and YOUR GRANDCHILDREN will also pay once you get your degree, get a job and go to work. If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. But YES, in the long run, you will still be paying for your own college tuition. And you can't hand your degree down to your own flesh and blood; they'll have to pay for those too; that is if we have anything left.

So this is just a start to send out a true narrative unlike the lying narratives the Radical Left put out. And running it in a campaign ad can't be stopped unlike social media. So write all your Senators and Congressmen and women to see if any of them know who is running for office and would like to run an ad with this in it. WE HAVE TO STOP THESE KIDS FROM VOTING WRONG.

Do not forgive the principle on student loans. But DO eliminate the IRS style penalties associated with them! For government backed student loans, the penalties and interest accumulate exponentially to the original principle amount borrowed, making it practically impossible to pay back if a payment is missed or delayed. I would suggest a super low interest rate, with no penalties for slow payment. Just so a minimum amount should be paid regularly.

MY STORY- I went to University to play football and become a teacher. Graduated and everything. I was not taught anything about money, credit or finance. During my 5 years I could go down to financial aid office and get as much money as I thought I needed at the time. It was almost easier than buying a cheeseburger at McDonalds. The financial aid person would always encourage the max amount each time. My foresight and world view was rather small at the time. Once I graduated I realized my error in accepting government loans and help. It drove me to becoming a libertarian. The promise of lucrative jobs and the idea that one must attend college to be successful was driven into my brain. I was my families first college grad. But then I got my first job. It took half my pay. It was a nightmare. I'm not one for handouts or freebies. My point is that many of us students were duped, manipulated and lied to. I didn't have guidance or help in traversing these obstacles. I felt like it was criminal in how they handled me and my fellow students. I have carried the burden of debt every where in life. It has led to a divorce, depression, and other the non ability to obtain any credit. My point is that I feel that it is better to spend tax payer money here in the US as opposed to elsewhere. I didn't ask for debt forgiveness. I don't agree with it and feel bad for people who did the right thing. Had parents to help them. I don't know if any of my 60k (now 120k) debt will be relieved, but It would lift a huge burden off me and mine. I appreciate 🙏 all your opinions and am Ultra MAGA because of the liberal shitstorms I've endured. Public University being the biggest. God Bless. We will win.

I agree, the colleges are overpriced/liberal & that's not the student's issue to correct. especially if it's a field that requires a degree, they're beholden to the 'system' until they can graduate.

Let's not forget

Those who paid for their schooling are not getting any forgiveness.

Only those who owe. If it were everyone, then of course it's a great thing.
