You know for certain this was a test, to see if this could be pulled off in a small place, then later on after a few successes, they would try this with a larger city. I am thinking the Army Corps of Engineers was sent in to shut that down and send a message to the other commie municipalities to not try this.
RE: The problem. I thought the same thing when I first read about this a few days ago. According to that article, he had a very 'equity' based agenda, which did nothing for the city's water problem and which apparently has been a problem for years...including when the current Lumumba's dad was the mayor.
City of Jackson just spent 80 million dollars on a Black History Museum while the infrastructure of the city was failing. You can't drive on the streets for the potholes but we got a 90 million dollars---10 million over run on bid---Black History Museum that has 10-12 visitors a week!!!!!!!!
Jackson has always been a corrupt, democrat run city. They had the white flight years ago to the outlying towns, because of the extreme ineptness, corruption, and yes "reverse" racism. A dangerous city for anyone, especially after dark.
Same fake "crisis" is happening with a pipeline that feeds Los Angeles starting today - 09/06 - a 15 day "repair job" on a broken section that supplies Los Angeles from the Colorado River. There's a restriction in place that you can't water outdoors for the next fifteen days. Such bullsit, this repair shouldn't take more than 1 to 2 days tops with round the clock crews. And or a diversion in place while the true repair takes place. It's my theory that a bigger problem will occur during the repair process that causes a much more wide spread, longer lasting shortage of critical water
This needs to happen in every city looking for funds. Army Core can take over all infrastructure improvement projects. Did they get played (caught) by the Army here?
It would have been interesting to see where that "needed 1 Billion" would have ended up. Whose accounts and departments were going to benefit.
What, did they clear a pipe, flip a switch, replace a fuse? I'm really curious how it got fixed.
And... Just WHO wrote this estimate of a billion $?
Army Corp of Engineers easily "fixed" it, likely just flipped the water main valve
I really hope the residents get pissed enough to go after these crooks.
Look, pipes get clogged up with environmental racism all the time.
Thanks a lot Putin!

Everyday we are reminded what a mistake slavery was.
You mean.
Everything you are reminded of by the FAKE NEWS who want you to believe that's a majority opinion.
It's not.
It's the fake news programming you to believe something is much bigger than it is.
All man are created equally under God. If you honestly believe what you just said, you are no different than KKK democrats
Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba-----see the problem? Just send me a billion and we will get it fixed!

Ok... When you look at a slob like that, do you think wow this individual is beaming with competence?
The answer is yes.
The military is the only way…
Probably just flooded it. Hold the throttle wide open and crank it until it fires up.
FN deep state commies!
Why would they do it ? Money?
