As a long time anti-vaxer, you'd be surprised the excuses I got from people after asking the first question.
They literally believed their vaX would stop working if we didn't all get it. But then they'd also say it was our duty to get it to protect those who couldn't, and if you said you couldn't get it because of previous injury, they'd argue you should get it anyway or you're selfish. They don't have the ability to reason anymore.
We had an old saying, I won't set myself on fire to keep you warm.
Sin blinds the intellect and makes it incapable of reasoning.
I keep it even simpler than that with these 2 questions because everyone knows the correct answer ... Do they prevent infection?, Do they prevent transmission? "NO" .
I just got "covid" from a friend several weeks ago. A vaxxed friend.
Vaxxed friend has one jab, I think. They got it from a triple vaxxed person.
I have no vax.
We all recovered at the same time. I took Ivermectin though, so now I question if that did anything since we all recovered at the same time.
But yeah, no vax, one vax and three vaxxes.... Equal recovery time, same symptoms and severity from what I can tell. I wasn't with them most of the time I was sick, but we talked.
Actually we should try a different angle.
I ask people IF I get injured. WHO is liable for it.
If someone is mandated this. Then you should be allowed to SUE the manufacturer, doctors and government for bodily harm.
Liability is a necessary checks and balances to anything that is mandatory in my view.
If someone makes something mandatory. Then they should be liable for damages.
Since no one is liable right now.
This is why those who got injured from this. Cannot find help easily.
No one wants to accept liability for this.
That is what I do.
The government isn't going to do much for the vaxx injured in the US so we know for sure it is a scam.
These questions are using logic. Their beliefs are based on what the guy on TV said, nothing else.

The predictable answer from my liberal friends would be "Well it doesn't work 100%, but it does lower the overall risk of catching and spreading COVID."

The problem with this approach is that it doesn't work for people who have been brainwashed. I have tried, but I watched a smart women I work with just blank her thoughts when I started talking about it, for a split second, her eyes filmed and she changed the subject as fast as she could. She could not countenance talking about it. At that point, I realised what I was up against and I gave up and decided that I was in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
