Disney doesn’t know what it is anymore. The days of Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella are over. Now you go to the parks and it’s a mismash of Disney cartoons, superheroes, Star Wars, and other LgBtQ69xYZ weird crap. It does t make sense anymore. The expansion into the superhero and Star Wars stuff has also transformed the parks from primarily a family focused experience into a destination for anyone and everything. They have morphed from theme parks into amusement parks. Disney is garbage now, plainly put.
Don't forget to add that Epcot has now turned into a "drink around the world" destination. Your kids, when they go to Epcot, will be exposed to drunk people barfing, cussing, talking loud about stupid things, and weaving around drunk. It's become a large bar destination for the lost.
I had a friend that took a job there as a programmer. He worked underground - not with the public. They relocated him (paid) and he thought everything was good. That was the demo. Reality hit when they started giving him demerits for not having creases in his pants/shirts, shoes not being shiny enough, not having a haircut (from their barber) weekly, and a ton of other petty stuff. He wanted to quit but would have to pay them back for the relo package so he started looking for another job and when he was hired he told them he would need 4 weeks notice (which was fine). Then he did everything he could to get demerits all the time and it took him under 2 weeks to be fired from Disney.
He told me that was the worst, most controlling (and hypocritical) environment he had ever worked in. Remember - he worked underground, had no contact with customers, and was a programmer. Crazy.
Put a pin in the map for when the decline started. Late 1970s Disneyland got rid of extra cost ride ticket books and changed to general admission. Prior to that is was clean and family oriented. Late 70s on its way to shithole central with gang fights on the main concourse. Not sure when Disneyworld went to general admission pricing but was also showing great decline by the early 2000s. Not back since, these were once great parks. Who knew Tomorrowland (2015) was a doucmentary? So it goes...
Edit:
One thing about Disney past, the whole park look was integrated and cohesive. When a change was made it was seamless. Tough to determine what the old landscape was when something new put in. Is anyone with an effing clue in charge now?
I would say the decline began when Bob Iger took over as Disney CEO and the Golden Age was with Michael Eisner. Went to WDW since the year it opened until 2016. My husband bought me a Vacation Club membership because my daughter and I would go 3-4 times/year. Finally sold the membership in 2016 because the parks were not well maintained, the cast members as a whole were not interested in the guests, the food was crap, etc. Under Eisner, all the negatives and more were the opposite. Now, too, of course, after having read about Disney, I have no desire to bring our grandchildren.
I can't remember the exact date and don't care enough to look it up, but I bet it also has to do with ABC/ESPN coming onboard. That's a LOT of wokeness being added.
My wretched MIL was always trying to get us to do a family vacation with them at Disney in CA. I knew Disney was f'ed up way back before it was cool. That was a double no for me. Their perfect /s narcissistic family system was always getting messed up because of me. Toxic family systems are power centers. New people are expected to fall inline. No thanks beyotch.
The attempted force vaccine plus closures caused a fucking shitload of employees to quit. Disney has lots it’s magic. Many of these shitty jobs were filled by people only doing it because it’s Disney. Anyone who has been to disney world can tell you how fucking big it is, and how long it takes just to get in there. If you live only 10 miles from the gate, that’s 90 minutes early you gotta leave your house. Maybe more. And not many people live that close to Disney. It’s a fucking shitshow if you are just some guy who walks around the park sweeping shit up. You don’t do it for the pay. You do it because you are at Disney. It’s special.
Well, now it’s not special. It’s woke and vaxxed. That’s the culture. So all those menial jobs that need filling that keep the park clean and running, are not being filled. The pay sucks for how much of a pain in the ass it is to work there. People just aren’t gonna do it. And they aren’t. There are too many other opportunities in Central Florida. It’s a boom town right now.
And now, they can’t afford to increase the pay offers, to bring in employees. They are not in good financial shape. It’s a situation they won’t be able to get out of without measurable financial success. So don’t expect these conditions to improve, because that’s not happening.
They blew it. Consumers have choices and are moving on from the brand. Employees have choices and are moving on from the brand. Everything woke turns to shit. They got maybe a decade before bankruptcy.
So stop spending your money there. I can still get a season pass to Six Flags Great America for under $100. Of course given its proximity to Chicago I might get shot in the parking lot or beaten by feral yoots in the park if I object to being skipped in line. The peeling paint, understaffed park, and breakdowns are less of a problem when you realize you end up paying $1 per hour based on going a couple times a month.
"Everything woke turns to shit" u/#correct

Haha some asshole i know said he was at Disney world doing that recently
Well when your pedophile staff get arrested by sheriff Judd shits just gonna go to crap
Sheriff Judd plays no games. He’s my favorite Florida Man.
The fake news are getting desperate. Trawling through reddit then just reposting everything as "news."
Didn't they fire almost all the Americans and replace them with foreign workers a while back? 2016

Just read that Eisner bought CapCities/ABC (ESPN within this) in 1995.

Glad you stand your ground. We do, as well, and our family thinks we're crazy. Who's gonna come running to us when SHTF? Lol
And yet, said visitors continue to pay the highway robbery tolls to get in.
Fewer of them though. And with bidenflation, who can even afford it.
Yep, feedback loop & downward spiral.
I m glad in 60 years I never spent one damn dime there and don't ever expect to spend a dime there.
The hidden problem is employment. They fucked up.

Guess the trafficking funds have stopped....
