Apparently DJT did that at the rally but out of range of the camera angle. Some were attending from TS last night. People responded and joined him/did it back.

Source? If you watch the crowd there was a group gathered that was pointing and a few more throughout the lower tier. I have not seen this at any other rally and I’ve missed maybe two ever.

I don't see anything unfortunate about it. It is unifying and solidifying the movement with a broad spectrum of factions and the MAGA/RNC base. Not coincidentally ahead of the election.
