Charging a Tesla consumes more energy than mining Bitcoin.
So does mining all the resources needed for the rubber dicks these morons play with all day.
Globally, bitcoin mining uses about as much energy as all electric clothes dryers. So its something but not the biggest thing. And we know the gov doesn't care about the environment, they care about losing their trillion dollar banking empire
$11,314 climate damage? Wtf does that even mean?!?
That was rhetorical. I don't want to know what it means. The number of assumptions that have to be made to give something like that a number must be astronomical.
It means nothing because it is all nonsense and just a colossal money grab.
What a psychotic conspiracy whack-job.
There is NO problem that cannot be solved by simply giving the government more of our money and liberties.
No problem.
Why do you hate baby seals so much?
Applying value to “climate change” is a huge window for the gov to fuck us over

They need to show their working and assumptions.
How the fuck do you translate dollars to "climate damage"? Are they actively using money to fix the ozone? If so whats the rate of fix? The shit they come up with.
Watched an old windmill blade being moved on the highway yesterday. I’m gonna do some math later today to see how much fuel is used for one semi truck and two flagged pickup trucks use to move it from unknown point a all the way to wyoming where they bury the used ones.
I think it’s going to be a fucking lot. Compared to how much power they make they possibly use just as much just disposing of them.
I read that over the lifespan of a windmill, it can't produce the same amount of energy that was used to manufacture and maintain it.
I'm not nerd enough to have a clue about that math, but just something I read the other day and I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.
We do know energy use for BitCoin mining is high. Fiat currency, currency collapse, lack of cheaper energy could be the plan for both driving people away from driving cars, and bitcoin use.
Not to mention the damage done by mining lithium and all of the other rare components of the batteries.
I just reached in and snatched the first number outta my ass and sure enough 11 and change. They could be on to something!
Not only that but they auto ban you for using the word retarded, everyone uses the word regarded now on the stonk boards.
They also left out….And mining is also rooted in white privilege…
Reading that sentence caused $1539 worth of damage to my brain
Don't forget the six gorillion cookies too!
Oy vey!
Hmm, not sure if OP knows bitcoin is mined digitally and does use energy to do that.
I'm on board with the reddit argument that the energy costs are what they state and a comparison can be made to drilling for oil. That probably is the amount per coin, of course reddit spins it as climate damage which makes me roll my eyes.
OP, what is the specific thing reddit is retarded for. Serious question. I think your message it trying to get a laugh with us that bitcoins are "mined" in way that uses energy.... It does.
What a brave stance you're taking, asserting that bitcoin uses energy. Good job soldier. You're doing god's work.
How many climate dollars do I spend when I mow my lawn?
