As a former Speech Language Path who worked with stroke patients swearing is the LAST language that can remain in people who have lost their ability to communicate in other ways. Even clergy have been seen to use it when they normally wouldn't have done so before. Thus IMHO it is the LOWEST form of language
Family friend had a serious, permanently damaging stroke. She gets kicked out of care homes because she can't stop swearing and shouting.
Used to be I didn't swear. Last couple of years, I can't seem to avoid swearing, even though I don't want to. Life seems to be getting more and more difficult and frustrating and out it flies before I have a chance to think about it. Might I have had a mini stroke?
I have found the opposite to be true. Although I routinely flung the F-bombs when in college, and even a while after, I finally did mature enough to stop. I think that anyone over 30 who still openly uses F-bombs in casual conversation is akin to anyone over 30 who is still a Democrat; pretty much a sign of immaturity. Media have definitely increased the prevalence of F-bombs by people, but it's still a sign of immaturity. (and a pretty good correlation between those who use F-bombs and those who smoke)
NCSWI[F]C... nothing.
Sorry for the [swear] word.
LoL...I swear all the time ...
I read somewhere that more intelligent people swear more than others, lol.
They are the ones who most clearly understand the need for swearing.
Truth.
LoL....then I must be super intelligent....😂😂
Eff that!

Not 'lowest' form. Most 'essential' form, obviously. The last to go.
That's your opinion which you are entitled to...However, sometimes its the ONLY way to get a message across especially on Social media platforms...

I respectfully fucking disagree.
Swear letter! For when one is in a hurry...
