Central Indiana, we just had a huge "something" flyover, it shook the house. We have Emergency Vehicle flyovers frequently and this wasn't one. Just happened 10 min ago. Seeing other reports as well.
That was how my wife described it. We are not in that kind of "traffic" route, no where near a large airport. We get a lot of smaller single prop and even a team of bi-planes from a very small local airport. We've lived in this house for 29 yrs. I do not recall having something that low or large (not sure which it was) shake our house like that.
that is interesting... me and my husband just watched something fall from the sky that looked like it was burning up, had a pretty long tail. Wonder what they are doin..
Former U.S. Army Special Operations Helicopter Crew Chief here and I can tell you this is not normal.
I saw one Blackhawk flying low and slow over Augusta, Maine last night about the time of this post. There were also many people on the book of faces posting that there were multiple birds doing the same around a certain area of the city. Strange goings on indeed.
It started the day of the Danchenko trial. It’s more helos than I have seen at once in 3 years. And it’s not in the usual training locations. There are blackhawks everywhere. Also tankers.
Yesterday afternoon there was tanker pairs over the gulf, off east coast of Florida, off Virginia and off New England. Then there was 8-10 pairs over the Midwest, and another 8 on the west coast. Still see mail and supply flights leaving Florida and Virginia and disappearing into the ocean, meaning there’s a carrier off the east coast somewhere in range of a turbo prop mail bird. And there is a shitload of fighters we don’t see, or we wouldn’t need all the tankers. Don’t even get me started on the submarine hunting aircraft. Seems like every P8 we have in inventory has been tasked in the last 3 days.
There is something going on. This is the most activity I have seen in 3 years. Either it’s a coincidence that it started with Danchenko trial, or it’s not.
How many coincidences until it’s mathematically impossible?
I check these a couple times a week, this is not normal...But it makes me think about monkeywerx' take on increased conus troop movement!

Probably an Osprey. They feel like an earthquake when they fly over.

South Louisiana here. Now that you mention it. I’ve seen several big military helicopters fly over in the last week or so.

An F-35 crashed yesterday here in Utah. Pilot ejected safely. Investigation in progress.
Do you think that might be part of the Orionid meteor shower going on tonight and tomorrow?
Likely, but where is the fun in that? Kek
must be what that is thanks
Huh, most I see in the evening in the Country is about 4 to 8, wow, I watch all the time!
Southern Idaho -- large mil transport jet and fighters in the air. There's a rumor the Gov got picked up for DUI last night -- probably not related.
Wow - you aren't kidding! There's a lot more now across the country.

I've been spotting them a lot too now that you mention it - here in Central-West FL

There are 5 Black Hawks flying in Alabama right now. But I've seen this happen before in that area, so may not be abnormal.
