There are plenty of nurses right here on GAW who have consistently used the "I was just doing my job." defense since the first lockdown. And people here just console them on how nothing is their fault.
If anything ever does come about with health care professionals being put on trial for their actions during Covid (doubtful. Possible, but doubtful, imo) then a lot of people are going to have to get over this idea that only the other side does reprehensible things.
It's been such a "us against them" mindset that recognizing that people we joke with here every day, who agree with 99% of the people here about various matters, are also going to be dealt with. Along with whatever aunty and cousin and such who are in health care and who have used the same defense.
