Commotio cordis has to be a “perfect” direct blunt force hit - It happens to pitchers in baseball sometimes if the pitch is returned back hard by the batter. Some pitchers especially youth leagues where chest plates to prevent it. Football pads technically are a chest plate. Thank you for sharing but I feel this is unlikely.
exactly, not to mention blunt chest trauma happens daily in the NFL. So how has tbis NEVER happened in the history of the league, hogh school, or college?????
Admittedly I haven't watched any sports for years but that hit didn't look like anything out of the normal and it certainly didn't look like blunt force trauma to the chest. Am I missing something?
Title: "Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest and will not make a full recovery"
"Update 11:20pm (1/2/2023) -
It was announced in the hospital parking lot that Hamlin is not expected to make a full recovery.
Hamlin was vaccinated. The Buffalo Bills is a 100% vaccinated team. I also got a Twitter DM from someone who knows this for a fact who asked that I not disclose his identity. This is a shame since we know know, thanks to my readers, that there is no death benefit to the COVID vaccines.
,. . .,
"Note that McCullough originally speculated that the injury that Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was due to commotio cordis (a phenomenon in which a sudden blunt impact to the chest causes sudden death in the absence of cardiac damage). The time delay from the hit until he collapsed is expected in commotio cordis. Peter believes that the ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation could have been set up by the vaccine if he took it.
Hamlin was shocked back to rhythm. He now has anoxic encephalopathy. He’s in critical condition at the hospital.
Yes because taking a line drive to the chest with no pads on is going to do way more damage than what we saw today. If this level of play is all it took for something like this to happen then we’d have all seen it by now due to the amount of physical contact that is in every single play of football.
Why is this stickied? Just getting all the info on the Bills player that collapsed front and center as quickly as we can. Lots of sifting going down to find the signal with this one.
I'm pretty sure he won't be playing again. They said he wasn't breathing on his own. Probably lost some if not all brain function. If he does die his relatives need to have an independent autopsy

I call total BS.

Bingo! We would have seen this many times.
One perspective on what may have happened:

The guy in that link is full of shit. Cole Beasley, Josh Allen and Isaiah Mckenzie did not get the jab.
Didn’t look that significant of a hit to the chest.
Docs all going "Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?"
Nevermind "me," it's the medical doctorate and white coat.
Is this supposed to be something like the 5 point exploding heart technique made legendary in Kill Bill?
Yeah sure 👌
The team of doctors were furiously searching their reference materials for a “logical” reason.
Yes lol
I've been watching and following sports for 30 years, first I have heard of it.Surely something more likely in baseball than football?

You'd also see tons of hockey players dropping from it.
Those pads they wear spread out the impact.
Extremely rare in conjunction with anything heart, clotting, sudden death seems less valid than an untested vaxx! And yet people believe.
We'll see, if he recovers and comes back to play football then I'll go along with the commito Cordes explanation.
If they attribute the cardiac arrest to something as rare as this then I don't see him playing another football game, if he lives. Too risky for him.
