It just dawned on me that if the GOP had taken the House by 40+ seats then McCarthy wouldn't be threatened by such a small rebellion. The 5 or so holdouts wouldn't make a difference at all if McCarthy had done his job properly to begin with. If any Dems cross the line to vote for him then he's going to lose any mandate among the GOP. He'll be known as the Dems choice for the House. This just feels like it's working out exactly how it's supposed to.

Yup. I think this is the play the dem and rino traitors have been working towards the entire time in the event that traitor McCarthy lost. It may be why Trump endorsed him. Better the rino than an idiot like Jeffries with Pelosi pulling his strings.
Watch on one of these votes, enough rinos will flip to Jeffries to make him speaker. They will explain it away as unity or bi partisanship or simply fixing a dysfunctional Congress. They will package it up with a bow so that the normies will accept it.

That criteria should be for all politicians at the very least and I can think of a laundry list of other requirements for all of them not just speaker.
My criteria for speaker of the House are simple:
The amnesty needs to be evaluated on a case by case basis. There are people who legitimately fled their shitholes of origin and because our system is retarded, would have been screwed otherwise.
Now if you're one of those idiots who thinks "well tough shit" then not only are you un-American but you're not pro-life either.
It amazes me how after all the reveals of CIA gaslighting and manipulation and other forms of mind control, those who want a secure boarder STILL ignore the problem that our system as a whole is flawed and we need to fix the laws in place. Not every American is born in America. While there are certainly shitheads I don't want here, a system that stops the well intentioned and freedom loving immigrants is wrong too.
That mentality got us to where we are. Exceptions, next session they create even more exceptions. Etc. etc. They push and push bit by bit until before you know it the demographics have completely changed
