I am sick and tired of how SLOW and STUPID the current verbal voting process is!
WHY cant reps simply push a button or use a phone app and have the vote done in minutes instead of hours??? Same for voting on all bills. So effing lame.

OP: I am not suggesting Dominion machines. I AM saying there is no need to verbally read 435 reps names over and over day after day. It is ridiculous to put the entire country through this slow torture over and over. We need secure electronic roll call and instant voting. What we have now is pure insanity and a complete waste of precious time.

Not talking about Dominion machines for house votes, BUT why the hell do we have to read 435 rep names aloud and write their responses on paper? SO effin inefficient. No wonder Congress gets nothing done.

What we're seeing at the moment is the emergence of the process of destroying the Uniparty system. It's good if its painful and takes a LONG time, imo. Certainly in the current climate, where there is very little that is good about the congress.
Maybe if it were cleaned of corruption and the entire system around it (which is complex and intricate), and populated by actual patriotic citizens, with term limits. But until that is an established culture there, slowing it down as much as possible seems like a pretty good thing to me.
I hate how they cheer when each candidate votes for themselves. It's complete narcissism

Individual confirmation needed I guess. Image everyone pushes their buttons,… almost them same with “mail-in ballots”, how do we know the counts is correct. I’m just guessing.
All results appear on big screen in real time. Reps are there in person and can call a foul if there is one. Not talking about mail-in voting here.
I understand. That's a figure of speech. It's obviously not "mail-in voting". Imagine ALL press their buttons, and it shows on the screen: 220 for R, 210 for D. What is everyone supposed to do? Trust that number? Or ask everyone what did you vote and count it again to be sure?
All reps names and votes show on big screen. Not just totals.
That’s a really big screen to show all names at once. And even all names have correct votes, what if the total is wrong? If you find out, it’s not cheating, it’s software glitch. Up until now, you should know them better.
The point is: no matter what way you use, you WILL need to validate the total. And you do it ALL THE TIMES. You won’t trust the number, because it’s too important. If you need to validate the total any way, then do this manual shouting thing. No cheating.

to be fair the last time it took so long was almost 200 years ago so I think this is extenuating circumstances. at the same time I kind like this extenuating circumstance
