On an ant-inflammatory rating some of the best foods like Kale, Spinach have an anti-inflammatory rating of 80-90………cayenne is 1400 on the anti-inflammatory scale!!! I think it has the most healing properties of all natural treatments.
I actually paired peppercorns with a turmeric capsule. I read somewhere that monks took peppercorns and thought I'd give it a try and it was an easy way to take pepper. I also try to add pepper to my food more regularly...but to me the peppercorns are the way to go (it's not cayenne, I realize). I have used capsaicin topically, but never internally, but it sure seems beneficial for so many things. Thanks for this site, BTW...it is a keeper...into the save file. This is such good information to use as a reference guide...These site are so interesting to peruse...just filled with wonderful information.
Try some in warm milk with turmeric and honey, or hot water (not boiling) with honey, turmeric and cider vinegar, not as strong then and quite palatable. But yes, I mainly cap the powder into empty capsules, as I can take more that way and take a capsule with a meal. Hah sometimes your arse can burn a bit when going to the toilet if you take too many in a day.

It's so awesome. If you take a few pinches and just mix with water and gun it down, the feeling is amazing, at least to me.

Supposedly a little bit of black pepper with turmeric really increases the absorption rate of the turmeric

My saved folder is huge!
Mixing in lemonade helps with the taste quite a bit.
I really enjoy a pinch in herbal tea
I wonder what African Bird Pepper would be on that scale. ABP has a Scoville heat unit rating of 150,000 hu, where as Cayenne is around 30,000 hu's.
ABP is the stronger brother.to Cayenne...
Yes heat wise, I think cayenne is unique with healing qualities.
Wow!
I eat Franks Hot Sauce... does that count?
Hopefully not from Barney Frank.
Nipples protruding. Very disrespectful.
Maybe? Anything that opens up the blood vessels encouraging good blood flow is super helpful to your overall health!
It's just too spicy for me. I could do it in capsules
