The year is 2023: You go to what used to be called the gas station to purchase a processed cricket soy latte. You pull out your digital wallet / vaccinepassport on your phone to show to the volunteer antifa "guard" to enter. Being extra careful to not use any pronouns so you don't get another ticket and demerit on your carbon allowance. You go to the ATM scanning your QR code once again to be able to access your funds. The ATM reminds you that you're social score is low and your carbon footprint is running a bit high this month. You pull out $200 to be able to cover your drink purchase. Two crisp uncirculated Disney $100 bills come out. "What the crap is this?" You ask yourself. You don't have time to worry about it you've got a 72-hour work week ahead of you and need to get on the public transport shuttle before it fills up. You go to the counter with your latte and hand it to the gender neutral union worker while reminding yourself to avoid pronouns again. You hand the new cartoon cash over to the worker.
