Why the renewed interest in Tik Tok from govt in the last week?
First the US wanted it removed from govt devices, a couple of days later England , Scotland and Wales wanted it removed and then this morning the London City Hall announced the same.
Feels like a knee jerk panic is sweeping the corridors of power.

I'll admit I was sus at first about China-is-collecting-all-our-data & looked at it as a Chinese propaganda app. But then I started noticing who all was screaming to get rid of it. When the uniparty gets together to attack something, it's almost always against we the people.
I don't see it as a black and white issue.
It is very plausible that people flipped in key positions as theorized, and it's also plausible -- and more likely -- that they expected greater control of the public by now, and internet media is the Genie that was let out of the bottle, and they are desperately trying to push it back in because that Genie is giving people a platform that works against their agendas.
TikTok was created for the younger generations who were raised on instant gratification; they evidently did not expect the dishing of red pills on said platform.

I was listening to the TikTok hearing and caught something quite disturbing. They are using it to justify shutting down all unauthorized content (including tutorials on how to make hydroxychloroquine with orange peels).
They want totalitarian control of all information and are using the app for their Hegelian dialectic. If they were truly out to abolish Chinese spying, they would go after the actual embedded spies and the back doors into government technology.
I was anti-TikTok until I listened to these government criminals talking about how we plebes aren’t capable of any sort of discernment and must be deprived of anything other than their “science”.
Is it a security threat because it isn’t monitored like other social media (someone else mentioned here) and the WEF can’t control the narrative? Maybe it’s not actually doing what the US is saying it is doing, harvesting info? Just a thought. I mean it does reach millions especially Generation Z, the generation they are counting on to move this world forward the way they want.
The guy in the hearing was specifically asked if TikTok censored Tianemen Sq. But commentators are confusing on the topic of TikToc and I always think that's deliberate. Is it a security threat to the US because of data harvesting? Or, as both Posobiec and Gorka were saying is it more of a business competitor against platforms like Instagram and that's why governments are being goaded to go after it? What is really going on here?
