Reading 1 Jer 20:10-13
I hear the whisperings of many: "Terror on every side! Denounce! let us denounce him!" All those who were my friends are on the watch for any misstep of mine. "Perhaps he will be trapped; then we can prevail, and take our vengeance on him." But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion: my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph. In their failure they will be put to utter shame, to lasting, unforgettable confusion. O LORD of hosts, you who test the just, who probe mind and heart, Let me witness the vengeance you take on them, for to you I have entrusted my cause. Sing to the LORD, praise the LORD, For he has rescued the life of the poor from the power of the wicked!
Very appropriate passage...the Bible is always relevant...but sometimes it just hits the nail on the head...
Its uncanny, the number of times a reading has been spot on.
Amen .
Yep. Perfect!
Lord, let it be according to Your word.
I was just about to post the very same.
Amen. That's what I call 'hammerin' on the message.' Amen.
Praise the Alomighty Judge of All! He is Allknowing. There is none more just. There is none more merciful.
Amen
And in addition to JEREMIAH 20:10-13, the Psalm and Gospel for today's readings are:
Psalm
PSALMS 18:2-7
I love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death encompassed me, the torrents of perdition assailed me; the cords of Sheol entangled me, the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Gospel (Jesus viciously attacked for carrying out the good works of God)
JOHN 10:31-42
The Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of these do you stone me?" The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work that we stone you but for blasphemy; because you, being a man, make yourself God." Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, `I said, you are gods'?
If he called them gods to whom the word of God came (and scripture cannot be broken), do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world,
You are blaspheming,' because I said,
I am the Son of God'? If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."Again they tried to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands. He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John at first baptized, and there he remained. And many came to him; and they said, "John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true." And many believed in him there.
It was totally amazing that these 3 verses were our readings for today after the leftist actions of yesterday. After reading the Trump Prophecy, I am convinced that President Donald J Trump was CHOSEN by the Father almighty.
Amen to that! God works in mysterious ways!
Wow. So excellent, thanks for posting this.
Amen!
