All trucking companies and all truckers should get together and not make ANY deliveries as of Jan 1, 2024. I'll give them 2 weeks, and this "law" will disappear.
This is how it should be done. No delivery of goods after January 1 2024.
California is like New Zealand. A beautiful place infected, infiltrated and abused by Democrats.
And also an island as soon as San Andreas decides to kick'em off into the Pacific.
They passed the point of no return a while back.
I was thinking the same thing. But also consider that the retardation only dominates in two small areas of California.
Isn't it past time California experiences "The Big One" and slide into the sea?
California went full retard a long time ago.
There goes the farm. A whole new shuttle to the border with Uber Electric Trucks going to be born.
It's a great idea. Every trucking and shipping company should close down their business and move to another State. Every company that makes deliveries in California should drop their loads in border State towns and tell California that they have to come pick up their goods. I give it a few weeks when people are starving. I think they will use their last remaining energy to build gallows for all their politicians and blue haired weirdo's. Once they finish, we send in the trucks.
I can honestly say, NO, larger companies will not break up into smaller 49-truck companies. Look at Ryder, Lease trucks/trailer. know how many commercial trucks that company owns alone ? 240,600 commercial trucks, lol, separate that company alone into a 49-truck company.. off the top of my head its 4,900 and change.. That's just one company..
There will be strict guidelines them companies will have to adhere to. More likely have to pay a large tax on x-amount of trucks they allow into Cali. and once again, Cali will kill out a lot of the smaller trucking companies, as they did back in the day when the Clean Air/DEF/DPF crap came out..
I don't see how the truck industry can be all electric IMO. Driving a OTR truck that's elec, sounds cool, to some, but.. How about when you sit in a doc for 8-10hrs cause the warehouse you're p/u from shut down from a broken assembly line. Loads not ready, forklift guys didn't show up etc.. God forbid you have to p/u from Budweiser.. IF you drive a truck, you know what I mean, beer loads can/will suck the day out from ya.
Drive your spiffy Elec truck, make a 500mi delivery, ok, sounds good. you've got what 200, or so, miles left.. Dispatch calls, needs you to head down to Houston, TX, 230mi away, snag a load from Exxon and get it to Cali in 2-days.. GOOD LUCK.. I don't see them lasting long.. OR... a crap-ton of LATE loads, empty shelves...
Sry for the rant, I just shut down for the night and my brain is still going 100 miles an hour..
-Be safe..
Yes, force them to spend billions of dollars on new trucks. That will go over well.
Each company will go under the 50 Truck minimum. Large companies will break up into small 49 and under trucking companies. Theee people are stupid
If they acted any other way, we wouldn't recognize it as California. This is ridiculous.
They’ve been 95% retard for at least a couple decades now.
What sucks is I have to live amongst them!
I lived in So Cal for 6 years in 80’s (when it was actually palatable); I still tell people that was 5 years too many. Today it’s an f-ing hellhole; couldn’t imagine living there today. Factoid: You don’t have to live among them.
I feel like this move alone would bring cali to the brink. Either no more trucking goods through cali or they cause a canada like trucker protest to change the law
Goodbye Pemex.
Solution: Divide fleet into sub-carriers of 49 trucks or fewer.
Fuck you, Cali
