One would think non-competes apply to someone resigning on their own. If fired, they cannot deny him a job in his field. But they are paying him for the next 3 years, so maybe thats an issue.....
But they would have know that before they fired him....Otherwise they could have put him on administrative leave or something....
but there is a reason that contracts are negotiated... and It seems that Tucker was making a lot of "rain" for Faux when faux was struggling....
This is what he does, who he is. Legally speaking, it implies that Fox would somehow own Tucker's mind, and to the best of my knowledge, slavery is not allowed.
Non-compete clauses are almost impossible to enforce. Tucker can show he did what he does, before he came to Fox, that he may have gained some presentation skills, but only Tucker owns Tucker.
Sundance at CTH says no but I find it hard to believe. Even without one Tuckers power was that he reached normie boomer and gen X types that get their news from the TV and that is now lost. OANN isnt on any cable or satellite provider I am aware of. I know of at least four people who will be watching Hannity and the dregs on Newsmax for their news now, blissfully unaware of the ops being used against them. I am certain though that all four will still vote Trump but there are many who will not.
Ive tried to get these four people to view alt media going so far as to provide lists and links and even loading the videos on their computer to watch. But they never do watch. They are stuck in the Reagan years tech wise.
Tucker's power was that he reached normie boomer and gen X types
While I agree and this could be a problem, he also has name recognition among these types and could be the catalyst that switches many of them over to alternative media sources, if he goes over to them. Once there, they'll stick around.
We're already seeing it. I know plenty of boomers that have started watching shit on Rumble. Especially with how prevalent these people are on Facebook where they just need a link to get started.
By the way, Fox's power isn't Fox News. It's their control over so many local stations. People don't realize that local stations are political, and they give them more trust, even subconsciously. But then they quickly mix in their syndicated bullshit and it instantly "normalizes" it all. Whereas they take national news with a grain of salt, they often take local news at face value.
Even if Tucker went over at a lower rate, the draw he would pull will increase OAN's value by magnitudes over night. They could then afford to pay him whatever, though IMO, if you truly want the truth to get out, you even do it for free......like we do here.
Tucker would make 3 mill a month if he had his own podcast, because subscribers will pay $1 a month for sure. Probably, he would make 15 million a month, because we would pay $5 a month...as long as he tells the truth about the 2020 election fraud and Jan 6th.
You know, any of the major networks could triple their viewership and regain some legitimacy if they hired Tucker and put him on at the same time as the National 'News' on the other stations.
Misleading. He was paid $20 mil at fox. Three times would be $75 mill not $25.
Check your math.
u/#careerended
Got the numbers backwards 😂
25 million offer from oan. Fox was paying him 20 million. How is it 3 times what fox was paying if it is only 5million more?
Think.
I already addressed the mistake. Read above
I thought he was making 20 million for 3 years at FOX?
No it’s 20 per year. They have to pay him between 60-100 million to honor the contract which has 3 years left on it.
Ok, thanks for clarifying this.
60 mil sorry
I think it's still $75 worth it. Probably won't happen, but give him more than Joe Rogan's deal, it is WELL worth it.
He will skyrocket OAN into the main stream. That in itself is completely worth it. And with him being pissed...Oooo baby.
I’d like to see him partner with the blaze and bongino. That’s a team to be reckoned with considering what they put up with from the mudocks.
I wonder if he had a non compete clause in his contract for a certain time period ?
not according to The Stickied Conservative tree house article

I saw that kinda hard to believe, but ??

Great post, LongTime. I'm in the same boat..

Let's get ready to RUMBLE?
I haven’t heard much of OAN since Trump’s time in the White House. News Now is all over the place and they suck.
Does he get to keep the Studio that Fox Built him in Maine?
Really they broadcast from Rural Maine? What community College?
OAN has that kind of cash?
That was going to be my question. How can OAN afford to offer that much money?
You know, any of the major networks could triple their viewership and regain some legitimacy if they hired Tucker and put him on at the same time as the National 'News' on the other stations.
OAN was my first thought after he left Fox. Great move!
Not too shabby
